Interesting brand to be up on there. Fuck it, take that small bit of ad revenue I guess.
They’ve obviously seen what LV has done with skating, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see other Fashion houses give it a go. Especially if it becomes “cool” or the line does well. It is what it is. Skateboarding has always found its way into mainstream and higher end fashion every few years.
It’s hard to argue if your at that brand in a marketing role and you see kids on IG in the most coveted age groups skating in high end fashion gear. You wouldn’t be doing your job if you didn’t at least give it a try. These brands aren’t in the game of selling huge volumes of products. If they can move a few dozen items from a small ad buy on thrasher, it’s worth it. It’s way cheaper than running at ad in Vogue.
Also, with the way advertising works these days you might be getting those ads because of past internet activities (looking at comparable brands) where as other people won’t.
