Practical ways being a skateboarder helps you in everyday life
« on: February 12, 2015, 06:05:12 PM »
Just randomly thinking of ways that skatboarding related knowledge and the lifestyle itself can help on a practical level.
Here are some I thought of:
-If the electricity goes out, there's a good chance you already have a stash of candles to burn
-If you are ever with somebody doing anything else and they sprain their ankle, you know exactly how to help
-If you are young and have an office job, when some older person asks what you did over the weekend you can skip over all the drinking and partying and just say "went skating with some friends" without being some creepy dude who just says "nothing"
Are you a kook? If you would say this, the answer is “YES”
I quit skating for a time due to piling out

Pretty sure saying you went skating with friends over the weekend as an adult is more creepy than saying you did nothing. I mean, if I heard that from someone I'd probably hate them because most skateboarders are terrible people.
Before you say the music sucked, have you considered shutting the fuck up?
