anybody know the story behind the fakie bigflip over the trash can? did they used to skate together because I've never heard or seen anything about them being friends. wasn't Guy not skating during this period?
sorry for the barrage of questions, I just watched his BFFs now I can't stop lurking youtube

I always perceived it as a nod to how they were both notorious for being elusive around that time period/Tom had just started to become visible again, maybe a hint that Guy was working his way towards doing the same. I dunno! Maybe they just ran into him while they were out filming.

I never noticed it was Guy, that's crazy! I always thought it was a random Euro buddy.

Fun coincidence that the only two clips to come out of his hiatus were some variety of bigflip.

guy needed money for rock. he offered tom fellatio and hamburgers but since penny is half a vampire and doesn't need food nor oral companionship he mumbled unintelligibly 'do a bigflip' in his andre the french giant drawl and guy went for an easy mark, 'my dick kickflip'.
he was paid $10 american for his troubles and he skated off one way, penny the other. 2 ships passing in the night.

Here's another question: What was with Mark Appleyard and touching himself? Not only in the DVD menu at the beginning of Really Sorry, but also Jonny Rotten's intro in Sorry. Anyone know what was going on there?

Thought the exact same thing. Also, I bought the issue of Thrasher (Lutzka on the cover) with Guy's first real comeback photos shot by Reda. Guy had a fakie bigflip sequence over a bump to table (the one Gino does the nollie 360 over), and I've never seen any footage of that trick.  I guess this Flip footage is an adequate substitute haha. He must've been into bigflips back then.

i think the story with the picnic table fakie big flip is that Guy was just *trying* that trick one day, and didn't wanna wait for a filmer to drive out to the school. Reda was on the phone trying to get someone to come out there, but Guy had a momentum going on where he just had to land it at that exact moment or never at all.

I didn't know that, that's cool.  I read that Guy's very critical of his coverage, so I thought that might've been the reason.

Penny's favorite skater is Guy Mariano.   His favorite part is Guy in Mouse.
