Filmage Descendents Documentary
« on: January 18, 2016, 04:20:25 PM »

Lot's of people and band members talking about the history of the band. I've listened to them for a while, but never known so much about them.

Interviews with Chuck Dukowski, Mike Watt, and Tony Lombardo. Enough said.

90 minutes of people telling you how great the band was. Fluff

I waited 20yrs for this movie. you would learn more about the band if you asked a stranger.

That's what Propagandhi sounds like now? Holy shit. The only thing I've heard from them since "Less Talk More Rock" is their decent cover of CoC's "Technocracy," definitely a bit of a departure.

Bill is God.

Kind of. More thrash/ progressive rock influenced than they used to be but they've come a long way since they were just another fat wreck chords band (not that they ever really were that). Bill does rock, I love how much he loves Propagandhi too!

I see what you mean about inferior artists  doing all of that dick riding, but the historical stuff was cool, and there are far worse ways to spend an hour. I mean, what were you expecting?

well considering it's called a documentary, I was kind of hoping for some real stories about the songs or the people. I know nothing more about anyone in the band than if I had read their discography. It kills me when people do this crap and call it a documentary. The other end of my problem with the doc is knowing Bill and how he operates. I can promise you he was the guy editing out every interesting part of this movie and leaving us with a bunch of compliments.
