Do CONS still run big ?
« on: March 31, 2016, 06:39:38 AM »
I haven't worn a pair since the Pappalardo's and some of the early CTS. I remember they ran huge, like almost a size too big. How big do they run today ? More true to size ?

Depends on the model you get. But for the most part, yes they still do. For most shoes, like vans for example, I get an 8.5 or a 9, for  any sort of Chucks I still have to get a 7.5 or an 8.

Didn't realize you can buy all of them direct off their web site. Sucks for shops. But each shoe it says if they run half size or true to size on their website.

CTAS Pros run a full size too big. I believed the internet and got 10.5 instead of 10, like I have for normal chucks. Mistake. They're too big. My normal size is 11.

I still say half size down at least for the ctas, depending on how thin a sock you wear they feel weird anyway, for example i usually wear some older stance that have thinned a little i guess and they feel looser then when i wear a new pair, they fit snug as shit when i wear those long knee socks that are way thicker than a normal sock too, if that helps.

I tried on the Metric yesterday, 9.5 and a 10. I normally wear a 10 (10.5 in ES)

With thin 'sport' sock they were both roomy.
With a regular crew sock the ten felt decent, 9.5 started getting snug
With a cushioned heel/toe the 10 felt great

They're very wide.

i have a pair of weapons that are a half size too big in my true size

the vulcs tend to run even bigger, so you can get away with a full size down

Yeah, they're fuckin huge.

It's to the point where I think they are actually kind of stupid over there. It's not even like "oh, these run a little big." it's like, "these are a completely different size than what is shown."

read a comment saying theyre big because back when they started making them people would wear them with thick socks for more stability and cushioning when playing sports.

I just noticed this with a brand new pair i have and an older pair but they seem to have changed the sizing again, both were a half size down but the new pair, ones with the "made for skateboarding" label under the tongue feel larger than a pair with the lobster boston logo under the tongue. anyone else notice this?

Yeah. One full size. I wear 10.5 and had to get 9.5 in the CLS.

Full size. Don't chicken out and go down a half size. They are long. I'm an 11.5 and I wear 10.5 in CTAS.

My experience with cons is also one full size difference

11.5 vans/soletec =10.5 cons

We recieved new colorways of the one star and they run even a half size bigger. Normally I'd wear 8.5/9 in one stars and this one I can fit a size 8.

In this day and age, I can't fucking understand what is the issue with sizing, how difficult can it be? In skateboarding, the fit and the sizing is crucial, and in this day and age a large proportion of the shoes are sold online, and people can't rely on reviews that almost always says True to Size.

Those guys are losing money, I can't count the number of times I didn't buy some Adidas online because I knew the sizing was random.
