I'm guessing Nora bailed during her actual run because she did not place and her clips in the video on Thrasher looked better than anyone else's.


Also, fastplants on vert are generally backside and ought to have some air-like boost (or else they're not fast). That was basically a Texas Plant grabbed frontside, which shouldn't disqualify it for TX status.

No, just no. All plants are supposed to have the foot barely touch and boost, that's just a style thing. Also, most tricks, including fastplants, can be done both ways. I don't think Lizzie, or female skateboarders in general are "overrated", but pretty much every female skater besides old Steamer footage is pretty boring to watch. Hanna Zanzi's run was something different than the rest and she definitely deserved 1st place.

You don't get it. It's very inspiring to other girls (and guys) they can skate with the boys. I can't invert for shit, Lizzie got em down. The only guys trash talking skill levels etc are shit skaters, and Nyjah.

I stand by what I said. I don't think female skaters want to be treated any differently, either. When I watch a pro or whoever skate it's not just about skill, it's a lot more than that. Most female skaters I've watched are underwhelming, though. The thought of, "oh she sucks", never even crosses my mind. That thought never crosses my mind watching any skater really, because I suck in the first place so who am I to judge? But we all have our own interests in different types of skating and nearly every female pro, or am, or whatever has just never really gotten me juiced to skate. I'm not sorry if that offends you.

I was just watching the Vans comp winning run on the Thrasher site, and after watching the first & second place runs and noticed a vast cavern of difference in skill level.  Hanna deserved first place for sure, and I get the pretty face rolling around in the bowl thing, but can Lizzie actually do 'tricks'?  Is this just a Vans/Birdhouse agenda?

Girls that skate street(Leticia, Ellisa, Alexis, and that blond boy) seem to be holding their own with style/tricks, but Lizzie's non-air run was laughable even for little kids standards.  I'm ready for some real equality on the board bros!

All of those women are good.  For me, it's more of their style.  Seems like pretty much all of their styles suck, with exception of a few...notably, Nora.  Vanessa Torres, Alexis, Elissa, and some others have good style too.  It's a lot like Jaws. He's exceptional, but I'd rather watch GT do easier tricks, faster and with GT style.  Jaws has horrible style.

I watched the women's highlight video with my wife who was super stoked and wanted me to show it to our daughter. Daughter also thought it was cool. Made me happy too.

I got kinda bummed when the next video auto played and it was a 13 year old boy who was so clearly better than anyone in the women's event. My wife just shrugged it off and said no woman is as stupid as a 13 year old boy.
