I can't think of anything to hate hawk on, he's untouchable.

^I'd skate that shoe today and I don't normally care for unbleached brown colourways.

Tony Hawk is rad.I bought these shoes when they came out in.. 95?Airwalk was definitely not cool anymore when these came out, and Tony Hawk wasn't really considered super cool but I just bought them because I liked the colours and a super fresh skater dude I know clowned me for wearing Tony Hawk Airwalks.Still don't think it's a bad looking shoe though.

J. Lees were super sick, probably would have got those if the ship I frequented them had them also. But then again Lee was probably scientologist by the time that shoe came out so in retrospect it would have bummed me out.
Fuck J. Strickland, dude has just about the worst qualities you can ask for in a human being. Greedy, backstabbing, vindictive.... now add homophobe to the list. Its funny to hear that he has only has one strategy for getting things to go his way: Make threats and hold people/footage hostage. Can't believe the industry put up with him as long as it did.

What a time the 90's were to be alive.

[close]I don't know when you started skating, but back in my day the only way to get access to skate gear was to plunder an incoming freight ship from China carrying all the freshly made shoes. You kids have it way too easy.

He's a legend and one of the forefathers of modern skating, but lets be real.
I knew that Tim was gay and figured that it could be an amazing article to have him come out to the industry in the magazine. This is right around when we were gearing up to start doing The End.
I always wanted to be involved in making videos and then I got the opportunity to work on Birdhouse's The End because I was the Birdhouse team manager.
