i called them today to see if they knew if the final deck would be pretty glossy like the original. the colors on the new one look dull, and the original just looks so sick. if habitat just reissued old decks exactly like they were that would be so sick. these new ones haven't caught my eye.

I had the OG board. My first pro signature deck. My friend got the Danny Garcia one, I got the Wenning one.

I think it was 7.6? Would buy for a wall hanger if IT WAS the original graphic.

I don't get why they had to make it more difficult for themselves. All they had to do was just throw the OG graphic on a board and watch it fly off the shelves. It aint like its a reissue of old shoes or something, it's a graphic. There's no need to change shit. Was gonna buy one for the wall and a few to skate but after seeing them i'll pass.

Maybe they had to change the original for legal reasons? I don't get it. I'd be curious to hear why they changed it?
This isn't really a reissue tbh.... more like an homage guest board

talked to docman99 on instagram and he said he is bummed on the graphic, but would be even more bummed if they came out with the exact same as the OG. he said having a new one with the same graphic would make his OG not as special anymore. I can kinda see where he is coming from, but if they just changed one thing the deck would be perfect. Even if they released the whole series, everyone else is still "on habitat" not like they ride for anyone else... (d gar, tim, kerry, fred). im just bummed it doesn't even say "coexist" anywhere on it.

They could have just put "coexist 3.1" or something and left everything else the same, some differentiation for the collectors and the original graphic making it more of a re-issue

I'm indifferent to the board but I'm happy BW is getting something out there. After listening to his Bunt interview I was amazed at how coherent he was compared to when O'Connor interviewed him. I though maybe he was permafried but he seems to be doing way better these days now that he's owned up to his failings.

Isn't the dull look because of heat transfer graphics?

I assume the original was silk screened? Man, I miss silk screened boards. Always leaving colored skidmarks on curbs and rails while board was fresh.
