I had no idea a 4th one was in development. Damn though, but I don't mind waiting for a quality game.

I loved the whole Prime series!

Anyone else fuck with Beyond? Took me forever, but I finally finished it and kinda disappointed. The bike is cool, but the desert is stupid. Psychic abilities don't really add much. Maybe my hopes were too high after this long of a wait, but honestly Metroid Prime Remastered was way more fun. This felt like a grind.

That’s a bummer to hear but I believe it. After development hell over 10 years, I still had a little bit of hope reserved that it would still be as fun as the previous installments despite all the differences and additions.
The desert/bike section looks like a ton of wasted potential and the addition of NPCs who accompany you just turned me off.

Despite 4 being a letdown, I’ve heard that Prime Remastered is getting a Switch 2 upgrade sometime in the near future. I’m excited to see how they can make that one look even better.

Yeah, the NPCs were cheesy and didn't add anything. If anything, they take away the eerie feeling of being stranded on an alien planet and having to figure everything out on your own. Myles starts by saying you can explore anywhere you want, but it's quickly obviously it's entirely linear with no room for exploration as you have to follow exactly what Myles tells you do do or you won't be able to progress. The puzzles were all basic and the level design just didn't feel as high quality as the previous installments.

Didn't realize there'd be a Prime Switch 2 upgrade. The last upgrade was fantastic. Here's hoping the upgrade Ocarina of Time and some other classics.

Damn, I forgot about this game, so it came out and it sucks? That's a bummer.

Damn, that makes me want to play it even less now. I’m glad I held off instead of buying into nostalgic hype and being disappointed.

The Prime Switch 2 upgrade is a rumor as far as I know, but I really hope it’s true. Sorry for stating it like it was a fact.lol I’m in the Twilight Princess upgrade camp, tbh. I love OOT, but Twilight Princess would look incredible on the Switch 2.

Play the OG Remaster. It’s an amazing entry. I can’t speak on 4.

I almost have this one almost beat, and it's kind of lame for a Prime game to be honest. Definitely could tell it lost its way in development purgatory.

If you’re into playing the 2D Metroid games, I guess someone did an interesting rework/rom hack.

https://omegametroid.com/highly-anticipated-super-metroid-x-metroid-fusion-crossover-rom-hack-super-metroid-x-fusion-is-available-now/

The instructions on hacking the rom are in the comments.

Going to get this going on the emulator on my Wii.
