The DVD I got from Amazon had the Bowie song and I credit that and Sorry being the main reason for me liking Bowie, so that’ll always be “the” version of the part for me.
I had a shitty download of the original edit of Yeah Right! around the time it came out but that’s never going to be the version I’ll go to when I watch the video.

Also these “musings on “ articles are fucking fantastic.
I'm going to argue that Placebo owes their entire career to a Canadian dude's skate video part. Appleyard should be getting royalties for this shit.

I like the GNR version a lot more, but it was cool to see that alternate edit.

What’s always been so special about this part for me was that it felt like it came out of nowhere.  I feel like most of us weren’t expecting more than a few clips and he came through with an absolute banger of a part.  The speed and power on display were amazing and I think the GNR tune really captures that.

I don't think this can be emphasized enough...Gino really came through with this one. Not only was it one of the best parts of one of the best videos of the 00s but it showcased Gino to a new generation while cementing his overall legacy. His style was always going to go down as one of, if not the single most, lauded of all time and this closed the book on it.

Love the whole part but I think the Lockwood line and the Italian gap switch shuv and nollie backheel take the cake.
