Sammy winter had his vibes going with gravis far before austyn ever had his makeover. I remember the summer after the Dylan part had dropped, and I was spending my summer in Boston. There was a dude named Kevin who repped gravis up there(dude had a fucking great kickflip), and I never heard anything about gravis or Dylan before that. Then I just became obsessed, I had never seen an image like what gravis was doing at the time. I remember being like Dylan, Sammy, and Jake define that aesthetic. I had seen austyn from earlier and he reminded me of nothing like those cats. Sammy winter has mean, and I mean absolutely dirty tre flip.

I think they're talking about Funeral Home. That was the third brand that was rumored to be starting up out of FA and allegedly Austyn Gillette and the others were going to ride for it. But something must have happened?

They bought the rights for that name way before Austyn left wknd. That's what was rumored to be K-Rod's thing before they put him on hockey. I'm too lazy to dig through that thread to find it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Former is doing well. They are moving to a larger store because the current one is too small. They also started distributing in Japan and Europe.

And Sammy Winter rules. His skating stands out, seems like a nice guy, and has a grand selection of manual tricks. While he didn't have a ton in the HUF 001 video, all of his footage was solid. That switch backside tailslide was wild.

When I was probably 13 we used to skate this old-school Texaco station near Universal Studios, where they filmed SeaQuest DSV, and Jonathon Brandis walked up to me and my friends and asked if we could go in the gas station and buy him cigarettes. We explained to him that we were 13 and he was definitely old enough to do it himself.
