Damn thats the first Thrasher I ever owned. That cover just caused a flood of memories. I remember him smoking a blunt w/ bloodshot eyes on page 1 of the interview. Talking about getting robbed and shot at while skating in philly. The nollie front heel switch manny 180 out w/ multiple frames in the same photo. Switch heel over the picnic table

At the time, my 12 year old brain had difficulty processing such rawness.

its crazy, he is doing simple shit now but he is just dope, doesnt matter what he is doing, I feel like watching a kalis line and getting ultra hyped to skate

damn, was it really 16 years ago that kalis had this transworld cover?! pretty funny how those cover stories could still play today. daewon - still killing it. zero - just finished touring across the country. boulala - still...somewhere out there.



I was so confused about that Boulala article as a kid. I thought some photographer was actually hiding in the bushes trying to catch this mythical skater that also endorsed Vans and Flip.
