MANWHO "Jupiter" (VX, Japan, 6mn)
« on: September 27, 2020, 12:27:48 PM »
This one probably takes the cake as my favorite edit of the year so far. VX is some of the best I've seen, so much of the skating is fantastic and the editing works really well or so I found. Make sure not to miss those guys' previous productions too (they've made three full-lengths so far, and their YouTube is full of cool stuff).

I'd assume they all know each other but they are different crews, both had amazing full-lengths semi recently (IIRC Toriotoko vid was 2018 - best video of that year in my opinion - and MANWHO 3 was last year). Toriotoko is based in Tokyo, MANWHO I'm not certain but some of the guys appear to be from Sendai and Osaka.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I was really sad when toriotoko took down all his vids from his youtube channel.
Does anyone on this board have them available?
This is problably not what he intended when he took them down, however, I canīt help it.
I need to see 'wonderland' once more.

Cheers

This was really good, loved the line with the back tail and the back 3 in the adidas shelltoes.

No I feel you, those videos were dope and I was bummed to see them go too. I'd definitely recommend getting your hands on the Toriotoko full-length/DVD if you ever get the chance to (and haven't yet), because it's the essence of those old clips and then some more. The lengthy black and white segment in that vid is one of my all-time favorite parts.

You can also follow Toriotoko on IG here: https://www.instagram.com/toriotoko____/ although they haven't posted in over a year.

My username feels personally attacked.
One post in and he's threatening pro skaters with violence over their shitty bands. Best first post ever?

Yesterday, I spent an hour looking for that stuff. It is no use. The only clip I could find was on daily motion.

https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xpjy54

Itīs a pretty funny one though.

bumping this, such a sick video. the line with that bigflip on flat near the end was incredible, anyone know the skater?

and, seconding the TorioToko appreciation above. There was an all-night, black and white, no-music edit he had up that was the second coming of Eastern Exposure 3. It was one of my favorite clips of all time

that was the weirdest and maybe best bigspin flip i've ever seen. tall curvy smith was sick too.

but... too bad the music was bullshit i felt like i was watching some children's show from the 70s
