A Band Called Death. Watched it after discovering them from Ishod skating to "Politicians In Your Eyes" in his Chronicles part. It made me cry.

@JB Fu Manchu is one of my favorite bands. Unfortunately still haven't seen them live :( I bought a bunch of their LPs a year or two ago, and Scott Hill signed The Action Is Go before packing it
There was no wire. Clark's planet needed him.
Note: Clark Hassler died on the way back to his home planet.

Rewatched this the other night.  It was good, and it's cool to hear about music that isn't from your typical areas, but I felt like I needed a shower after some parts of it.

There's an 80's Italian hardcore documentary I want to watch but can't find it online.

Here you go man. Click the CC button in the corner for English subtitles.

This Swans documentary (watched it on Amazon Prime) is good. It's rather long, but I enjoyed it. Swans isn't a band I listen to often, but I've always found them interesting.

If anyone knows where I can see this for free, or for that matter the Jay Reatard documentary Better than Something, please let me know.

I used to be extremely into Nirvana, not so much anymore but "Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck" is a great documentary that held up super well.

Also, The Doors "When Your Strange" is an entertaining watch just off the top of my head

I liked everything except for the parts with the U2 guitarist, his parts were pretty boring to me

those are absolutely the best parts. when he shuts the delay off and plays three notes in a power stance overlooking a vista out his massive window - that's perfect cinema

Unfortunately that particular video doesn't seem to be working, but there's a lot of interesting music doc's on there. Good looking out.

@Prince thank you kindly. Unfortunately that site is not currently available in Europe due to the recent changes in EU GDPR laws. But thank you all the same. One day I'll see it, hahaha.

Do I look like I'm made of 5 bucks? I'm literally a set of 4 Grind King custom nuts from 2003.

Nah, thank you, I might just do that this week. <3

You could whack a free vpn extension on your google chrome browser quite easily. I use one called Hola - then you can access the site as if you're in Australia or the the US or whatever non Euro nation takes your fancy.

Also, while I'm here - this is the best of the Prince documentaries - it's the closest to being official - he was supposed to actually be in it, but then pulled out last minute and had to compromise by giving them some snippets from the vault of some special studio and live moments. Since his death, all of that stuff is a lot easier to just see online, all the rehearsals and live shows that were never officially released - but back in the day this documentary was very special in some of the glimpses it shows. Also, just want to add that Sheila E. has the most beautiful speaking voice in this and I fell head over heels in love with her as a teenager while watching this. Not that I wasn't already in love with her, but yeah, her talking voice {which I obviously hadn't heard at that point} took my fantasy crush to a whole other level.

Oh sick, I love Prince, I must give that a watch!

You might want to do a quick google search about "Hola VPN Security", there was a big kerfuffle a couple of years ago when people realized Hola's security and privacy practices were less than what you'd expect from a VPN provider. I guess you get what you pay for.

Did you guys watch Tales from the Tour bus? Mike Judge's show about crazy tour stories, every episode a different musician. Was the best show out when it was on 3ish years ago.

the david bazan/pedro the lion doc “strange negotiations” is really exceptional. i’m an obsessive fan and loved it, but the film is mostly catered toward the uninitiated. it explores really beautifully the sacrifice musicians and artists make in the “new world” of streaming to provide for their families, but also delves deeply into bazan’s psycho-spiritual collapse and regrowth. he’s one of the greatest of all time, a pioneer in multiple genres and an all around fascinating case. the doc is on amazon prime right now and i can’t recommend it more.

also if you’re a fan, check this out. i was at this show and it felt like being let it on a private moment. it’s hands down one of the best and most moving shows i’ve ever seen. https://youtu.be/8xzCdGTCYs0

Mini-doc. Not quite music, but one of the most fascinating performances I've ever seen footage of.

The new Velvet Underground documentary on Apple TV is A+++.  I didn’t have high expectations as I know there isn’t much live footage in existence, but it’s quite possibly the best music documentary I’ve ever seen.  It’s worth signing up for Apple TV just to watch it.

No Dogs in Space is also starting their new season with Velvet Underground.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.
