Alright if you don't know much about duffle you can start by reading the excert posted above of an interview he gave towards the beginning of his career. At least duffle is worth knowing something about. We're all idiots for letting characters like neiratko become influencial in the skate world, (Nobody HAD to do those dogshit interviews that niertko conducted).  That's how he's got a platform for his rape stories now, cause people just let anyone waltz into the scene if they own a shop or if they'll give you an interview or if they're  a snowboard slash skate rep.

That aside, I was kinda surprised by him using "cocksucker" as a pejorative term. It's really unfortunate that foundation didn't want to include his part in the new video. I know they want to focus on the young guys but they are still selling Corey's boards and it would have been a proper send off.

Also, the part in the nine club interview about Nieratko claiming he "made him" with the big brother interview shows how far Nieratko is up his own ass. Corey's image combined with the huge stuff he was skating made him so marketable at the time.

After a long 9 hour drive with no am radio reception I listened to the interview. I was wrong about Duffel. Big ups to him and great story teller.

I listened to this episode after my shift and ended up buying a jacket from Devium. Really stoked on it all being made in America... prices are pretty high but i’ve always preached the Made In America shit so had to put my money where my mouth is. Im gunna put it to the test at work.

Regarding Duffs commemts in BB: If we want to get rid of or reduce racism/homophobia/discrimination then we have to try to practice what we preach. Corey made those comments when he was just a ignorant pressured kid. I emphasize that he was “Ignorant” as in he was uneducated. He seems to have since been educated and is incredibly remorseful for his actions. I view that as progress.

I’m with this guy for the most part.
The drive that Corey has had throughout his lengthy career is self-evident. The guy has been a machine and has always shown progression from part to part in one way or another. But it’s easy to imagine the kind of shine he could have had if the Cheif was busting his chops too
He’s been a great sort of oddity to me, he’s been my favourite skater since I was a kid but he’s had some strange moments in his career: the BB interview, the getting left in Tampa for saying he would ride for Baker, getting on Fallen - having one sick add put out before the contract was signed then was off Fallen just as quickly, skating for Osiris of all
Companies while apparently not skating their shoes, constant and insane injuries .
This episode was a fucking delight for me and I’m glad to see some more appreciationfor Duffel.
