i first met Sierra back in the day when he was a little kid in Pensacola.  he was a cool down to earth kid with a good head on his shoulders, I can't imagine that changing too much to make him a "kook".  His family was just into some weird religious evangelical stuff, but i would think Jamie would have related to him about that, unless all of his god stuff is just more marketing, who knows.

Sierra ended up being pretty run of the mill style and image wise, and I think the original poster is right in questioning why he got dropped.  Jamie's answer is lame as always...trying to justify cool-guying some little kid off his team, but then again he is the guy that sued some other little kid for having the nerve to quit.

VHS players were incredibly complex electromechanical devices. A DVD player is simple in comparison.

To help further strengthen this statement: a few years back I had a friend who was friends with Sierra, so I ended up on a session with him randomly enough. He was trying to film this line and starts having a tantrum after the FIRST try and his choice of curse words to YELL were "fucking faggot!!!". He did this for like an hour. I was embarrassed to even be there. To add fuel to the fire, after he was done skating and we were all chilling, he said something even more off-putting. This was around the time when Chris Joslin had that board graphic come out that was an illustration of him bottle feeding his baby. For some ungodly reason that was the topic of discussion, and Sierra blurts out "I'd have that graphic but instead of a bottle it'd be my dick HAHAHA"
So yeah, I'm siding with the chief on this one, good call Jamie
