Bought some high-quality skate shoes in february.
The sole is still good, in comparison to my cheap china shoes,
which are wrecking after 4 weeks.
Yes, at shoes I was wrong.
But my 10 year old trucks are the same quality like my new ventures.

Dude, you really skate? Saying "high-quality shoes" makes you sound like a total kook.
Also I'm curious, which shoes would those be?

I bought the Ultra hollow lights or whatever they're called from Thunder, the "lightest" ones they offer. I can't say I've noticed a whole lot in change from the standard ones I was previously skating.
You know I thought these forums were a for skating not discussing fetishes

Hello,

are the newer trucks much lighter than trucks from year 2006?
[close]

So you are skating trucks from 2006? And you're wondering if the new ones are lighter. You then say 100 grams is not worth it and you DO ollie and kick flip.

Dude WTF , theres no way you skate. No way. Maybe cruise around or whatever but if that doesnt make a difference to you and your fucking trucks last you 10+ years then I have a hard time believing you do shit on a skateboard. Come on,  this almost seems like a joke. Why the fuck would you care about lightness when your trucks are fucking over a decade old. And then the newer trucks aren't worth it to change out your fucking ancient POS trucks?? Yeah you dont skate. My mind is blown.

i just want to say that i definitely skate and have a pair of trucks bought around 2011 that are still going strong. i mostly skate ledges/transition and rotate between another pair now and then. my brother who only skates like once a month has a pair of indys that will probably last him forever. the point i want to make is that it's possible to get a lot of life out of trucks if you aren't just grinding through crusty coping all the time.

Let me preface this post with the fact that I am slightly inebriated, very uneducated and I havent read any papers or done any research at all, or read your post really.

I bought the Ultra hollow lights or whatever they're called from Thunder, the "lightest" ones they offer. I can't say I've noticed a whole lot in change from the standard ones I was previously skating.

That's because they're not actually all that much lighter. If you think about it, hollowing out the kingpin and axle isn't really removing that much material so like regular thunder 148's weigh 357g and the hollow lights are 324g. That's only slightly more than an oz. Even the Titanium hollows only get that down to like 310g or something.

The only truck I've skated thus far that actually really felt noticeably lighter have been Tensor mag lights - iirc they're something like 265g for an 8.25. And unlike the old Tensors, the new geometry ones actually turn pretty well once you replace the stock bushings, which I'm pretty sure are made from hardened dog shit. They still have nothing on Indys but if you slap some bones bushings in them they aren't that far off Thunders in my opinion. The downside to that drastic weight reduction is durability, they grind down pretty fast if you hit a lot of concrete so they're not the best choice if you're a slappy-happy chappy. I'm actually considering going for a full-blown "light in the loafers" set up and grabbing a Powell Flight or that new crazy Mullen deck at some point just to see if it actually makes any difference in my skating (it won't).
