I have a moderately large round head with a massive forehead and find ordering hats online to be a gamble. Found a traffic hat a few years ago that I'm still wearing.

I have a quite big head and a pretty big collection of hats (I think close to 50). My advice is to get unconstructed hats with a soft EVA brim. That just makes them a lot more forgiving and it doesn’t dig into your head as much. A good example I own is this Quasi one:

if I was wearing a new era 5950 it's the 7 3/4 if I got a shaved head, 7 7/8 with hair. I had a dope anti hero snapback, grey corduroy with red cursive and a flat brim. trucker hats fit well too but I'm not so into the look these days. having a hard time getting a new lid. Even if I find one that's close to deep and wide enough, the brim is often not wide enough. shits wack
Well-defined ambiguity, I'm already on somebody's list as a casualty

It's like a support group for Pals with big domes.

Anyone try the blank hats from here: https://bulk-caps.com/collections/unstructured-floppy-hats ?

Here to report that after nearly getting heat stroke in my usual 7 3/4 new era and whiffing on a DLXSF snapback I doubled down and got an FTC mesh camper, my first ever of the style. Surprisingly pleased with fit and dome coverage, especially backwards how it will usually be. Nice buzzcut for the summer and hopefully my skating will match my cool domepiece

Still envious of those who can get the warm hug feeling of a new era out of any hat though

these are the best

I fucking love Ebbet's. My old man has a collection of them from when they had the MLB license. I grew up with an old Black Sox hat and a NY Knights one.

I just got a Creature Pillbox with a mesh top that fits great. Very deep. I'm a size 7 3/8 and have depth problems. Can only do certain New Eras. The Creature fits superbly though and I'm on 4 tics on the strap.

Ebbets are nice. A little too nice to skate in I would say. And waaaay too hot as it’s thick wool. I barely wear mine unless it’s 40-50 degrees. Also not very washable.

But if you don’t mind ruining a $50 hat by skating in it a few times, go for it.

It's funny because I'll trash an $80 pair of shoes but no way I'll ruin an Ebbet's hat.

Haha, yeah, totally agree. But skate shoes are meant to be trashed, at least as I see it, whereas a top of the line wool hat, not so much.

Any bigheads have luck with the strapback Ebbets Field hats? I emailed them and asked how big they'd fit, and they said the strapback would fit up to 7 5/8. Too small for me, so I ordered a 7 7/8 fitted instead. Fits great, great quality. It's pretty warm, though - I wouldn't wear it on a hot day.

Personal preference on my part, but I can't bring myself to wear actual baseball strapbacks. Maybe I'm a snob, but also, I just think the strapback fits the mesh/trucker vibe more.

does anyone know what blanks these would have been made on? Finding a good blank hat is almost impossible these days, especially in the EU.

to embed any link on these forums you write this:

[ url ]insert website[ /url ]

but without the spaces between the url in the brackets. Hope that makes sense.

Can't help you with the blanks for these caps, but you can try to look for blank caps on these clothing modifier websites. Those ones where you can print your own stuff on clothes/caps/sticker.

I have a huge head (size 7 3/4-7/78 in new eras) and own a lot of the yupoong classics snapbacks since that's what every hardcore band is using these days. Unstructured and they usually fit fine with two snaps, they'd fit a little better with one but it always comes undone.
Look I'm not selling anything that doesn't have my jizz on it. I don't care how much is offered.

I dunno if anyone else out there struggles with this, but I have ordered 3 hats that simply do not fit my massive skull. UNTIL I happened to see Roger on The Nine Club wearing a nice looking Theories hat and I guessed (correctly) that he, like me, was in possession of a big melon head. I ordered one and to my delight it fits pretty well, but I do hope there are other options out there.

Hat suggestions for big water heads like me?

That falcon nawab dude makes custom hats and they are of the larger variety I have one and my budddy has a huge melon and it fits him

Size 7 7/8 New Era skull here... I've had luck with the following hats from skate companies:
- Polar (strapback)
- Quasi (snapback [bought two of the same one on sale - one is too small, the other is perfect])
- Altamont (snapback)
- Huf (strapback, but with the webbed nylon strap like 5-panel hats normally have - this one seems to be an outlier, as every other hat I've tried on from them has been way too small)

Also, if a hat is just a bit tight, but borderline fits; you can get a little extra room by cutting a couple of small slits in the sweatband, like so:

I do one cut on each side just at the edge of the brim, and do the same thing at the back, right before the adjustment hole.

Why have I never thought of that. I think my massive dome is mostly made of air, such an elegant and simple solution, thank you!

Adding to the growing large head cap database, supreme 5 panel camp caps are fitted but comfortable, they are also sturdy and have plenty of strap room to adjust. Palace 5 panel baseball caps are by far the best caps I have owned, very large, roomy, an impressive attention to stitching and construction, quality materials as well, simply excellent. Ralph Lauren 5 panel baseball caps are hit or miss, I would stay away from their basic cotton model, flimsy construction and materials, the colors fade away quickly and stains are hard to remove, not to mention that they are really, realllyyy small.
Last on my list, quicksilver vintage 5 panel camp caps are very good if you can find one, same as supreme and some have very nice designs, no clue of quicksilver still makes them.
I might upload pictures of my hats, I’d love to see some from you guys too :-)

I personally don't have a large head but I came across this brand while searching for unstructured hats https://www.oddjobhats.com/ which claims to be "Big hats for big heads". I know nothing of the fit or quality.

Get hungry on it!

Instant favorite simply because of their name, that guy creeped the hell out of me when I was a kid. We were shown the James Bond he appears on in class, who knows why, and soon after we would all throw our caps at each other like the stupid ankle bitters we were  :D Their stuff look nice
