Z Roller made some stick-on rails back in the day that were actually pretty cool.

I totally disagree about them being cool.
I almost certain Borgy made these first.

Didn’t Borgy help start thunder only to be shafted when they hit the shelves?

I've never heard that but it wouldn't surprise me. He was very innovative for an old punk.

You don't drill rails in these days, they are self tapping screws.
Someone asked if you can still buy sex bolts, You can, if you feel the need. Sean Goff has all that old gear on his ebay store. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Skateboard-Sex-Bolts-80s-Stock-Pack-of-8/222682095577?hash=item33d8e31fd9:g:8bwAAOxy2CZTYQCo

I actually wished this worked. I'd be more inclined to fuck with them if so. I'm too scared of commitment and having drill holes in my board if I change my mind is not cool with me.

I retried having rails awhile back but in reality you still need some wax on most things to slide shit that isn't a perfect double sided object. Made my board feel hollow and heavy. Didn't really enjoy it.

I took rails out of a board a while ago and just filled the holes with a dab of shoe goo, but honestly even that was probably unnecessary. You'd be fine if you ever wanted to take them out.

ocd is a bitch my friend, the thought of those filled in unnecessary holes there would eff me.

and for the dude that asked if you could slide unwaxed curbs, no, not really, I found that your wheels still stick more than if the shit was waxed.
