Has anyone considered how core switch mongo really is? It's the ultimate dedication to NOT pushing mongo.

Think about it.

You are so determined to keep using your regs push that pushing switch regs is seen as the real switch mongo.

An example to back up this theory is people mentioning that pushing mongo as a kid helps them push switch regs, which in reality just tells people that you used to be a dirty mongo pusher where as if you push switch mongo it's a true testimony to your dedication.

Full disclaimer: No hate, I used to push mongo.

If you’re correcting your switch mongo you’re faking your style and suppressing your true self like left handed Catholics you should be ashamed

A Lot of dudes dissing switch mongo has a shitty style and grew up skating at  skateparks. When you hit the big plazas you really dont care what foot you push.

Danny Garcia, Koston, Keenan, Gino and TX all my heroes push switch mongos.

i started out mongo so i can push switch comfortably. i dont hate switch mongo, but i like being able to switch feet especially when i skate as a mode of transportation. i think someone on here(jsoy?) once said "skate switch... for your back". it really resonated with me for some reason

Bill Danforth is my joe Valdez. In the savannah slamma video, he goes fully torqued and looks like a backyard wrestler and I’m ironically hyped.

Stevie’s sw Mongo is cool like a head of half braided hair or leaving the tags on jerseys. Like how 90s east coast rapped would spell worlds wrong.

Always jump on my board mongo but quickly push regs to hide my dark past. Don't skate much switch and still can't switch mongo, although if I could I would throw one in every now and then just for the controversy.

Had to lose the regular mongo after trying snowboarding,  because your front foot is strapped in when coming of lifts and traversing. Makes me think if there are any Canadian's who dabble in the dark arts of the mongo.

Awkward switch push looks way worse than switch mongo, but I can’t remember a single clip where regular mongo doesn’t look awkward.

I pushed mongo when I first stood on a board purely on accident. I quickly stopped and started pushing the correct way and I agree it doesn't look cool. That being said pushing mongo and being a kook assisted in me learning one footed front rocks, which are a completely kooky circus trick but definitely fun.

I'm a loser.

To me it’s all where you stand-

It’s gotta be the perfect balance.

When pushing mongo, it looks EXTRA weird if you have the non-pushing foot wayyy far back on the tail, one foot manual style. For reference, the guy skating in Barcelona at the beginning of Ryan Smiths shared part in the DC video.

It also looks extra weird if it’s way to far in the middle and the skater does a little “step hop” body varial. Not sure why but Kevin long comes to mind.

Mongo CAN look good but most times it looks better to push switch. Unless you are a pro skateboarder and you look completely unnatural when you push switch, and for whatever reason Clint Walker comes to mind in the Bordhouse video. He does a switch heel on flat and crumbs snatches his way to a switch Wallie

That’s Rodrigo TX
For someone w.no signature ur awfully hostile, & that is why I do this

Certain folks get a pass for it, but it's wild to me how some skaters who are very very good at switch cannot push switch.

LOL quality!

I don't understand dudes who clearly have the skills to do switch tricks but don't bother to learn one of the fundamentals parts of skateboarding which is pushing.

Just doing switch tricks isn't skating switch. Switch mongo is on the same pair as a bungee cord.

AMEN!

It looks dumb. If you’re just some guy then fine, but if you’re an alleged top pro and born after around 1993 then stop it, it’s lame.

Edit- also if you’re doing it to show that a trick is switch- how about just doing good tricks? Like if that switch back tail doesn’t stand on its own, maybe consider not including it?

welp, looks like after these street sweepers do their rounds ill be pushing non-mongo switch all over the neighbourhood... hopefully dont eat too much shit doing little manuals up curb cuts and shit...

it actually might help a lot to push switch now that I think about it... using your switch foot to stabilize the board and balance while pushing sounds like itll take a lot of energy and build up some kinda switch comfort idk

Modern or not - mongo belongs in the bin. If your good enough to do a switch line then u should be good enough to push switch as well as regular
