Grip Tape
« on: November 04, 2018, 09:48:29 AM »
Is it possible to paint designs on grip tape or will that affect the grips strength? Also, is it better to have really grippy grip tape or some with less strength?

you can paint it as much as you want without problems. in case you spray paint it poorly with lots of paint you'll loose some grip, for sure.
how grippy you like your setup is preference. i like mob, which is very grippy.

Oil-Based Sharpie markers are 10x as precise than spray paint.

Run from this place before it infects you. No rules. Do Whatever you want at all times when it comes to your setup. Ask setup questions to yourself only. Nobody else. No best thing or setup. Skate without grip if you want. Put woodvarnish on your grip. Paint anything f.

Really a bunch of twats here... I like it.

You can paint your grip, but don't go overboard.

As for the amount of grip on your grip tape. That's really user preference and we can only tell you how much grip one brand has compared to another.

spraypaint your whole griptape then sprinkle some sand on the fresh coat of paint so you dont lose any grit

Stencil art is recommended, preferably by paint markers.

The MOB M80 grip is great for grip art. My pen tips have been lasting a lot longer because the grit isn't as intense.
