I had a lot of crazy times IRL because of Runescape. The (main/zybez) clan scene was fucking insane from 2005-2012 because it was entirely underground with no support from Jagex since they were anti-3rd-party anything; there were hundreds of clans at one point and the top clans had memberlists of 200+ ACTIVE members. Of course, we were all nerds who no-lifed the game every day when we weren't in school and a lot of us made the game our lives, especially if you led a clan. Since you're basically around the same people every day for months or even years, you form really close connections to people. It really was a unique scene and you had to of been there to understand. I had a lot of meet ups IRL. Fucked hookers in Vegas with my mate from New Zealand, went to Canada to spend an awkward 2 weeks with a girl from my clan and fucked on the 2nd day and never again, did ecstacy and listened to dubstep for the first time with 2 clan mates....countless stories my dude. I'm Still close homies with 3 of my clan mates 10 years later.
Craziest story is probably when I took a 3 day 3300 mile greyhound from San Francisco to god damn Bangor Maine for a whole summer when I was 17 with saved up lunch money, parents thought I was at a friends (my clanmate) house in Sacramento. Pretty much fucked a crazy girl that hung around my clan, for a whole summer and took her back to live with me for 3 miserable years.
Good times.
