Look, I love his skating, but he is the most vanilla dude and that don't sell boards.  You gotta have some kind of gimmick or be part of some current trend or fashion.  He never went the tight pants pretend punk route of some of the large gap/rail skaters and pretty much looked unforgettable as a person and since then lots of dudes have done gnarly shit as well and probably sell better to 14 year olds with identity crises.
