This summer I took a trip down to NYC city with a few friends. We were skating cooper park, when I saw Jesse and his crew. I went up to him, expecting a lighthearted interaction, but when I introduced myself, he reacted with a cold, blank stare (almost seemed like he was on drugs). I was caught off guard, because he’s portrayed as this happy-go lucky, prankster type guy in all of his videos. Anyway, I was wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else when meeting one of their favorite pros.

He was definitely serious. I guess sometimes the personality just doesn’t match the skating. Everyone in the city pretty much acted like this when we’d show up to spots/parks. I never missed my local park so much.
