Slides and Grinds 3

I love watching god level Brazilian ledge skaters do their thing. Looks like a third time around is coming. I'll update this shit when it does. In the meantime here's the final from the first event.

Damn, I got all excited about a new game already up. Hopefully, this year won't have such a sterile environment as the last one and go back to the original setting.

I’ve only grinded on marble once: it was 👍🏾

If they have Nike sponsoring it like before, seems like something they could make happen.

i love that this is a brazilian only event.

at the same time i hope these guys expand it to include pros from around the world before the berries or some other lame entity steals the idea.

You can't "steal the idea" of playing skate on a ledge. People wanted to see obstacle skate on a similar platform the moment BATB took off. The Berries was just too lame to understand that skate on other obstacles would raise interests. I assume because Borra wants to keep up a misguided idea of game of skate purity and a sense of ownership over the format which is really fucking dumb because he could've cornered the market. Anyway, I'm glad he didn't because the Brazilians on average are better at ledges. Also, I do like the unorthodox rules of alternating grinds and slides, rebates on every trick set, and two rebates for last trick. We get harder and more creative tricks that way. They definitely deserve credit for that.

Holy shit I never noticed that. It definitely makes it more interesting watch as people can’t just do multiple variations of a trick in a row.

Haha, me neither.  Anyone else develop a chubby watching Tiago slide the whole ledge after whoever he is playing slid for a foot or two?

This year looks to be more sterile and boring than ever. Also, those lights on the ledge are distracting and useless. Fakie hardflip sw nose slide or whatever is an insane trick to have on lock though.

2nd vote would be for PJ. sometimes it is a fine command of the english language to say nothing and he extended that to skating. PJ's plan B part is the emperor's new clothes.

That shit is just the norm nowadays. Kiddies don't even wanna feel the gurrinz and slyzs. They'd rather moon walk over the obstacle.
