whats the low down on the blunt fakie? Been getting butterflies in my back ankle for 15 years trying that unicorn of a trick.
I'd say find a mellow transition with not much coping poking out. That way you only have to make your back wheels pop back in and can then do sort of a mini fakie manual until your front wheels clear the edge on the way back.
It allows you to not pop a big ollie, your back foot and your tail never go far from the surface and it's less intimidating to commit leaving the back foot on the tail. Nothing technical and all in the head, so start small because you just need to build up confidence.
Maybe dabble with blunt to rock to fakie, never could do nice ones but it's an easier variation I learned first.
Also let your back wheels go a little "too far" in order to get leverage, and don't sit up there too long.
Oh! and if you have pivot fakies, then i guarantee you have blunt fakies.
Also grabbing your nose and yanking it out could be something to learn, it removes the ollie part of the equation.
Very nice animation.
