Who agrees? I know comparing 2 different things like this is kind of stupid, but they are both creative outlets, and art. And you can view playing music as a sport too.

You can get way more creative with music, way more artistic, do something way different than other people and still be amazing.

?Tons of people probably have more fun skating or watching skate vids than playing music or listening to it, and then there are even more people who like music over skating.

Compair these 2 arts and be stupid like me.

my life is much more about music than skateboarding. but without skateboarding i would be listening to wack shit. maybe that's not true, but skating helped.

I think skateboarding, not matter how much you love it, is something that it pretty much impossible to do over the long term of one's life. I don't know...how much 60 year old skaters are there?

I remember when I was really young (at least 18 or so year ago) my brother had this thrasher that had pictures and interview with a guy who skated that was in his 60's. I guess he just loved the feeling of carving around on transition.

As much as I love skating...it's already getting super hard on the body at 25.

Music is something that you'll always be able to enjoy. I'm be playing my guitar to the grave.

Both are rad though, so why the need to compare?

good call tonycoxhox. although music and skateboarding generally fit well together, music can more often carry over as and through different, more wide spread mediums- i guess even if the concept of time/age fall into effect. i love it.

I spend more time out of my day listening to music, but the act of skaeboarding is more fun and fulfilling. But making music is probably pretty rad too.

Music for sure. I used to love skateboarding way more when I was younger. Skateboarding is great but there are limits to it. With music you can be creative with out any bounds. Maybe I'm just getting old.

music models the way i skate, so they both go hand in hand. i always have music, wether it be at home or just thinking of it while i skate. the plus side about music is that after we all get old and cant walk (or skate) we'll still have music to get totally stoked on

i've been playing music as long as i've been skating, and if i had to choose between the two, i would have to choose skating. I'm a much better musician than I am a skater (music was always kind of natural for me, skating took a lot of hard work), but I still love skating much more. I spent the last four years playing music and trying to put skating on the back burner, and since I quit my band i feel like a great weight has been lifted off of me. All i need to do is some tricks on my skateboard, i don't need to worry about 4 other people, their attitudes, creative differences, politics, etc. Being in a band ruined other bands for me too. You realize that most people that play music are complete douche bags. Its been a few years since I've heard a new band I actually liked, and about 8 months since I've been to a show, and even then it was only because I was working the door. I've never been so uniterested in music in my entire life.

Really bad music videos led me to think skating was cool. But thanks to skating I got into tons of amazing music. Even though I don't play any instruments, if I had to choose between listening to music or skateboarding, fuck, I'd be really bummed. But I'd probably choose music and buy a guitar ASAP.
