I always thought they should make one that spans through the decades even if its just the first few levels or the training stage

70s: steve olson teaches bowl mechanics, basic controls, TA teaches airs

80s: Lance teaches handplants, gonz teaches street manuevers, natas shows you how to wallride and ride handrails

90s: daewon teaches manuals,  henry shows you the fundamentals of switch,  carroll explains the importance of stringing together a line, jamie makes you go big

00s: penny takes you into hiding, you have to put together a big budget video part, bam teaches you how to sell out

10s: gt reinvents your style/importance of all terrain, dill shows you how to start a company, elijah gives you a makeover

These aren't all my favourite skaters, but trying to do a similar mix - big name pros that kids in the suburbs will recognize, well respected (but slightly less mainstream) names, 'legend' types, representation from a range of major current sponsors, and carry-overs from the previous games (this seems important in continuing a series 10 years later). The pros in the previous skate games would tie in to a challenge in the game, so I tried to include skaters who have signature styles or obstacles that would allow for that (i.e. skate trash cans with Tyshawn, skate a big stupid rail with Foy, go to the library with Suciu, etc.):
