Got a favorite curb spot?  Letís see it.

Hereís mine.  Itís not pretty, but itís all Iíve got... and I love it.

Haha, believe it or not, it was super smooth up until 6 months ago when it was used as a staging area for construction equipment and debris.  I had to spend hours cleaning it up to get it skateable again.

Laconia, NH?

I was gonna guess Emporia, VA

I lived near Emporia for a year. That place is so shitty.

That looks fun, but... fuck black top.
[close]
Really? I love black top for skating flat. Slippery enough to cheat any 360 variation I would usually have to pivot. Unless the black top lots I've skated are different than the normal ones.

Does it not make your board look like ass?

... and thatís not even everything on the first floor

This was definitely the spot to be in the winter for a while.

Of course some jerkoff kids kicked in some supply closet doors and like pissed on stuff and stole things and it was a bust for a full year

Now itís not so bad again.

Down the street from my apartment. They don't care if we skate as long as the bank's closed. And the ground is all blacktop so it's basically the perfect spot. Sorry for the shitty pic, it's the best I could get from street view since I'm not home atm.

Overrated spot. Overrated city (Chicago).

Haven't skated many good curbs in the Seattle area but this spot consistently rules.

Here's my curb/manny pad near work that took me a while to get broken in, but now it grinds pretty good.

It's not lit at night so now it's for lunchtime sessions only.

I think people are sick of seeing mine here, but I poured a new one the other day using the same form with only one bag (instead of filling it with 80 lb bag and a half). It looks to be 4 - 4 1/2" high compared to 6" with it completely filled. I'll measure when it's time to remove it.

Lesson is make your curb forms for the biggest curb you want and adjust volume of cement instead of making different sized forms for each height.
I take everything I said back. The board hit me in the nuts for the first time ever today, because i was wearing these shits.

I popped it out of the form this morning and it measures nearly 4 3/4". It looks pretty tasty, but I've got to wait 3 more weeks for it to finish curing. Also, for research purposes, I used the regular sakrete high pressure cement not the 5000 plus psi version to see if it is strong enough if cured properly.

Now to make two more of these.

Spot looks great, Bobby! Also, props if you did the music, fits really nicely!

Definitely no curb porn here, but it turns out this will be my lockdown curb.
At least, the metal edge slides/grinds smoothly and the ground around is quite good.

at a supermarket, so only skateable on sundays. put a lot of work down there to make these things as smooth as possible.
