I can never really get photos to load on here, but here’s our curb carousel someone just finished. Good concrete, lit up, and no body really fucks with you here. Probably took about 6 months to finish, but it feels good to have it done.

LA heads know this spot. It's definitely blown up in the last 2 years. This one beats the under the bridge Home Depot slappy spot (in my opinion), since that ground isn't forgiving and has not as good lighting in the evening.
Not my local but I make the 20 minute drive since I can usually get a solid 1 hour + session with minimal people unless it's the weekend. Sometimes it's like a skatepark on weekend evenings :O Skated it earlier tonight actually  :D I hit it 2-4 times a week if I can.
There's also two sets of 2 double sided curbs that are fun to grind/slide on. Lots of options here if your legs are willing!

Not the best curb, but it's in the same lot as the grocery store I go to and fun for 30 minutes

Learned a new one at the curbs today. Finally getting the hang of slappies enough to try different variations of a slappy. Not the cleanest, but it was fun to do!

Do slappys annihilate pivot cups? How do you know if your pivot cup is wrecked? I have very little knowledge on this topic and would love to learn more in general.

That looks lovely. I like the combination of having a double sided in addition to a regular one.

Man so many possibilities here. Lil manny pad, could even wax the inside to go across. Nice spot super envious.

Dusty spot but I've been waxing and grinding this curb for a long time now. It's in a parking lot that's empty at about 8 pm and well lit through the evening so it's perfect for a late slappy sesh.

My new favorite place in the world. Some people have already been putting in work to wax/lacquer a lot of these. Further down on the right there’s a double sided curb where they dug out some grass, and it ends in with a fun curved curb.

Imagine a show like Cribs but instead its curbs and each episode is a different person showing off their curbs "this is where the magic happens"

living in a country with almost no grindable curbs (hard to explain). i was really happy to figure this out. its a bus stop near my house. downside is that its on a semi bussy road, ribbed on top and higher that normal curbs. but they have a little transition at the bottom to make up for the hight.
besides bus stops i have not been able to find any grindable curbs in my hometown. theres a fiew good ones in a nearby city but i dont have the time and money to visit there too often.

learning slappys on here made other curbs quite easy.

Looks nice. Guessing it sounds good on grinds as well. Like the grip job as well.

You're Dutch? We have these as well and Ive always wondered how good they grind but I've yet to find one that's abandoned enough to properly skate it. If you are indeed Dutch, I could recommend looking around in parking lots. My daily curb spot isn't the smoothest but there's nothing a rub brick and a shit ton of wax can't fix.

yes, Dutch. i didn't expect them to grind so never even tried at first. but it works fine. indeed the issue is finding one were you can skate in peace as busses only take the main roads. here its not bussy in the evenings and this bus stop is actually abandoned so no one can complain about a little wax on there. also talked to the people living next to it and they dont mind me. even got the "i used to skate too" from the guy that lives there.

i live in a small town and really all our curbs are the old ones that look like gravel. i wish there was a nice parking lot with the newer smooth curb blocks ive seen in some of the newer neighborhoods in other towns. there isnt even any parking lot with smooth ground here now that i think of it.
there are some of those really slanted smooth curbs along some 60/80km roads outside of town too. but i dont like those for slappys. theyre too slanted.

was the curb you rubbricked one of the nasty gravel looking ones? i've wondered if its possible to fix those.

my favorites are those in some old city centers, you have the really old hardstone/natural stone curbs. those are like butter. i know a fiew of those i can skate in a nearby city. i also saw those all over Brussels a while back so they're lucky i guess..

@Plan9Customs
thanks. i think it makes a higher sound than usual cause of the ribbles on top. not too sure too.
