That 360 flip lipslide shouldn't have happened yet came out perfect, so sick. I find that Justis' eye for tricks stands out from all the Instagram circus trick weirdos some are tempted to lump him together with, he's actually creative and many of his inventions have unseen form, which is what I look for. His progression in terms of trick selection over the past years has been crazy too, it's been an interesting evolution; I don't actively keep up with many skaters' footage nowadays but I always like seeing new Justis clips pop up if anything just to get a glimpse of where his mind has been.

Are people comparing him? Justis can do actual hard tricks so I don't see it. Those joke skaters aren't jumping down 10s or lipsliding rails [with or without 360 flip in].

I've seen it before but then again anybody with unique style posting skate clips on IG will always be an 'IG skater' in the minds of some people, regardless of whether they're actually unique or just posing. None of this should matter though. It's funny how with the internet, one no longer needs any validation from the industry to inspire strangers on the other side of the planet now (I was fucking around with step hop late flips just last week because of Justis), one's skating can speak for itself completely disregarding the business ties that used to dictate who got coverage in mags and videos and who didn't regardless of how interesting they might have been, most everybody gets to put their shit out there and people get to pick their heroes by themselves instead of being submitted a curated line-up of validated pros and having to do with those. And people still retain an appreciation for style, tech, trick selection and balls, so there still is a quality filter - it's just one's very own now - so it seems like the kooks will always get called out.
