Chris Pfanner Appreciation
« on: January 16, 2019, 09:25:12 PM »
I have always loved Pfanner's skating ever since I saw him on the Beauty and The Beast tours. Skates big spots with power and style, and not often do you see others skate the gaps and rails that he does. He has good pop as well, and he always comes off in interviews as very grounded and humble.

There was no wire. Clark's planet needed him.
Note: Clark Hassler died on the way back to his home planet.

He's definitely a "gotta see him in person" guy.  Absolute beast.

Pfanner Fridays were a good idea. One of the best no switch skaters.

I was stoked to see this thread but it immediately made me think "He's done now, right? Probably owns a small business in Germany now?"

I don't mean to bring the vibes down. Just picture that full speed fakie ollie.

Did a search before starting a new thread. Wanted to start/keep the Pfanner lovefest going. One of my favorite skaters.

As someone else with a meat and potatoes bag of tricks, I love this dude for how gnarly the spots he skates are.  Watching him makes it feel like smiths/feebles, kickflips, 5-0s, 180s, etc. are all you really need.  He's also the rare skater who really looks good in skinny jeans.

He's also not done, this dropped a few months ago:

I was always waiting for more of these, but I don't recall seeing others.  Chris is known for going big in street, but his transition / mini ramp skills are also up there, as per this clip too.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Remember noticing him at the first cph pro in 07 just before he got on antihero. Was floored by the skills. He did bs 180 late bs bigspins with huge pop down everything and had the sickest style in tight pants.

Always really liked him even though I didn’t watch a ton of footage or know all that much about him so i was kind of just blindly being a fan, but when I watched his Followed I was like ok, i was right to think that way haha. Got my first pro deck of his a couple months ago and it’s one of my all time favorites.
