Milwaukee
« on: January 21, 2019, 06:37:21 PM »
Going to Milwaukee in February for a couple days. I know that it might rain or snow so I dont think I'll be able to skate street. If I can that would be cool. What else is good there. Any good indoor parks and do I have to pay?

If you have a car Cream City is a solid indoor park and only a short drive outside town.  Four Seasons skatepark is an option in the city too I think.  If you get lucky with the weather definitely check out the DIY at Estabrook park.  I visited last winter and it was dry but freezing cold.  Still really fun pushing around the city and I came across quite a few spots skating from neighborhood to neighborhood.  Pretty cool city for street skating if you can time the weather right.  Be sure to stop in at Sky High Skateshop if you have time.
All you got is today, get out and skate.

Allen.

I assume you have to pay to get into those parks?

For the cost of a beer you could pay to skate at Cream City. Bill and them are great people and do a ton for the local scene, you should support. Or you could always show up w a case of beer for Bill as an offering and you might be able to slide in.

Skating estabrook is like skating under a bus station toilet by where it bolted to the floor

RIP to your whole setup, every time, covered in mud, dust, and mystery juice

^Jesus. I thought anything near White Folks Bay was super safe. I once got pulled over over by 2-3 squad cars for riding a bicycle without proper lights and reflective gear.

Bumping this old thread again since I’m moving to Milwaukee in a few months. I’ll probably have to live west of Downtown. I know Cream City is around there, but does any Milwaukee Pals have any other info or recommendations for spots or parks in that area?

Estabrook is a good diy as well as the National spot. Tosa park is decent but is generally packed. Downtown is fun to cruise with plenty of spots.

If you are going to be over by Cream there isn't too much happening over there. Tosa would be the closest spot. There are some ledges at Willowood park but the ground isn't the best. There has to be some street stuff over there, I just don't kick it out that way very often.
