Yep, that's me. We live in that neighborhood next to Benbrook, so I'm cruising around those 2 pretty steady. We should catch a sesh. I'm in the same boat, work wise. Already prepped my kid that we're gonna be spending alot of time at the park. Hahaha. I'll shoot you a pm.

what cities on the outskirts would any locals recommend as being nice places to live? i was looking at getting a house down there but, inner city is a bit out of budget and, i would prefer something that isn’t right in the city anyways. houses on the southern outskirts (buda/kyle) area are affordable. i know that’s kind of a boring area but, i don’t mind. it’s halfway between austin and san marcos (20 minsish to both) and i see there’s a skatepark there as well. is it an area that you think is worth purchasing a home and if not, where else would be?

If you're ok with the drive, seguin is cheap, and the skatepark there is fucking excellent

Cedar park/Leander/Pflugerville/Round Rock/Hutto are all not too far up north and have an excellent selection of parks

So...how's the new Mueller park?

I’m in town for a day and I just did a drive by. Park looks interesting, the actual skate area looks kind of small and sort of street league like. I could only really see a pretty big stair set with a full size handrail and some banks.  There’s also a HUGE cement pump track as well. Also, the ledges around the perimeter are skate stopped which is obviously dumb. It’s still fully under construction so it may be a while before it’s open.

The street section is way too small for how many people that will be there when it opens. Other than that the parks fun. Only one with a round flat bar.  I understand cities like the spectacle of a pump track but you can only fit two people on it at a time. I say get there before it opens
