I always thought that the horse who played Artax really did drown while filming Neverending Story, but apparently that was just a rumor.

The execution scene at the end of "The Wind That Shakes the Barley" is pretty intense.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

i know this isn't a film, and i know i'm behind on this series (just decided to give it a try in the past few months), but this end to Shameless season 7 absolutely knocked me on my ass:

Especially the first minute or so before the voiceover.

I have a bad memory of films I like and I can never rewatch anything, but few scenes still stand out.
A lot of Scorsese fans, so I’m surprised no one mentioned Taxi Driver. the soundtrack makes every word spoken feel like poetry. The scene where he first sees the woman in the white dress is probably one of my favorite scenes of all time.

The framing, the composition, the mise en scene…

Also not a movie but I was randomly watching HIMYM the other night and although I hate how the series ended there’s a lot of good scenes through the series. This scene where Barney is at the bar waiting to get back with Robyn only to be rejected and time freezes always chokes me up. Im a weenie  :'(

The bit where Billy Kopecki turns to grown up JOSH Baskin and asks "I'm your best friend, what's more important than that" in Big.

When Roger Rabbit tells Eddie Valiant "A laugh can be a powerful thing. Why, sometimes it's the only weapon we have" in Roger Rabbit.
"Broke the tail, like a well oiled snail"
