Happened to me after a hilarious comment. Thankfully he unblocked me or I'd be holding an insanely petty grudge to this very day.

Like all of Ted’s posts, it’s a video of him talking. This one is 60 seconds of him criticizing Pontus for fueling some of Polar’s art direction and music selection with his nostalgia and love for skateboarding from his youth.

It’s true but I guess it’s up to the viewer to decide if they even see a problem with that.

A friend of mine owed me a deck back in the day tried to be slick and bought me a Pontus board right when MC was done it was on sale cheap.
Traded it for a used Zoo York and Shortys board because I didn't like his name and still don't...

I don't think his point is that a company is milking nostalgia. Plenty of them do that. The issue is when you don't acknowledge that it's from the past and try to pass it off as an original idea.

Pontus is/was a very divisive personality in the 90s and pissed a lot of people off. I can guarantee Ted is one of those people - SO many skaters from that time despise his success with Polar because they didn't like him around the Mad Circle era. You can guarantee this is personal shit because what he says makes no sense/could be applied to every brand ever

He is not criticizing Pontus' use of nostalgia in general but citing actual characters that are rip offs of Gonz and Blender characters from the 80s/90s.

O ya I get that but I also don't think Pontus constantly believes or projects the notion that everything he does is an original idea. He may come off as a salty sometimes but so does Ted (despite his constant reassurance to his audience) so idk man. We can also be cyclically discussing how the Gonz and Blender were emulating the early modernist painters in their respective artistic practices.
