Hopefully, this holds and it isn't pushed back. Although I have a feeling there isn't going to be much footage from my favorite skaters on the brand. Although, I'll be pleasantly surprised if we get a full Herman part.

just hoping Rowan stays on long enough for this. I would like his footage to stay un-strobeck'ed for as long as possible. Call me crazy but I like to seek the torso of skaters in footage.

Naw, I don't think he'll ever retire and he shouldn't unless his body is completely breaking down. People just want to see him skate. His Stay Gold part is his magnum opus and his exit as the pro who broke barriers and pushed the limits. He's essentially said this in multiple interviews. He isn't going to go further than what he did in that video. Now, we will get more chill/b-roll footage like we do with other iconic pros. I'd rather he do that, then ghost like Rick Howard did in Pretty Sweet.

Rewatched baker 3 recently and there’s so much aspect ratio switches and horrible dissolves in it it’s kinda hilarious. Funny how something so shoddy can be so iconic in my mind.

i went skating with some of my older brother’s friends in l.a. when i was a little kid. one of the friends was a girl who was and still is pretty good. she ended up taking us to go skate with erik ellington’s ex-wife, luciana who was shooting photos of the girl and filming on a little handycam. we were skating a spot in burbank, my brothers friend was trying to get a photo skating this gap. midway through the session luciana told us to check something out on the handycam. she reminded the tape all the way back, pressed play and showed all of us erik ellington’s part from baker 3. this was at least 6 months prior to the premiere. there were a few black spots so it wasn’t fully done but, we watched at least 90% of what ended up being his part. the bigspin carlsbad was there.. it was pretty much the exact part just had little gaps here and there but, not very many. point being.. i’m sure they still use that method of editing it as they go and just filling gaps as people get more clips. plus like others have said, it’s a baker video it’s not some ty evans shit so i’m sure the video will be dropping pretty soon after the filming deadline. at least i hope so. and i hope it’s as good as all of the other baker vids.

16:9 almost always requires cutting the upper part of the skater in order to not look like ass.
