But it’s not like they’re just starting to edit when they stop filming. And they have multiple people take a pass at it. I’d say a couple months of editing at most. I’m just hoping for a physical release

Yeah videos are edited haphazardly and brazenly, as a bad video has never killed a board brand. Board  brands are not constantly in danger of going under and are actually the highest paying of every pros sponsors (which means they have the most money to play with) ;)

you’d actually be surprised how many people wait until they’re done filming, or almost done filming, to begin editing. Then again, the people assuming that even a baker video is just slapped together are idiots, or, at the very least, do not understand how videos are edited/made.

A stacked team admittedly means a lot of footage. On the other hand no one has to sift through mini dv tapes. It'd be weird if the (separate) clips of hijinx and tricks weren't earmarked to begin with.

Not saying it won't take longer than two months, either. Editing HD footage might take longer if they properly colour grade the clips in post (slightly doubtful). Getting and not getting music rights is probably very time consuming, too. Hands-on riders like Reynolds can also be a double-edged sword.

Still, a Baker style video is a very bare bones approach that does not include for example motion graphics, elaborate title cards or skits. Whether you begin throwing clips on a timeline at the beginning of September from scratch or not, it SHOULDN'T take longer than two months. That is if you can commit to the process full-time.

This is just simply not true, it just so happens that his riders want to be in big productions lmao. Like every single dude in blessed minus aiden and Ben has been in a major shoe video within the last 4 years(Vans with Rowan, TJ and Nak with away days, KB with chronicles 3, Sage and Sean with Purple.) if kids want to save their footage for proper productions, then good for them.
