Kathy Wenning (Brians mom) came into the skate shop i work at last night and we talked for awhile. Super nice lady. It's called "Por La Cultura." Originally was supposed to just be sold in Mexico, but she told me that wasn't working out as planned so she dropped some off at the shop to sell and a few to make into completes for her.

She did make it a point to mention Brian wasn't hyped on her doing this, so i doubt he has much connecting other than his name on the board. Pretty sure she never had intentions of it being sold in the states until she realized they weren't going to sell anywhere else. Very curious what happens with this....

She gave me two personally... shes coming by later on to drop decks off. I dont know how many shirts she even has.. she kinda just said these are for you and handed me two. Whole situation was super weird.

It's interesting seeing the random shit that makes its way into mexico.

I was in mexico last year with my girlfriends family and at the playground by her fathers house was a chubby little kid running around with a shirt that read: "STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON, New York"

I don't know where the fuck it came from but it wasn't the only slightly off shirt i saw out there

based on what you said about him not being hyped, i at first posted some comment about how i'd be bummed if brian wasn't making any money from this, or perhaps how he never even authorized her doing this, but then i scrolled over to brian's instagram and saw this post from back in november with him and the wahe guru himself holding a wenning deck. seems like a co-sign to me, or at least a lack of being bummed. sounds like things may have turned sour?

Woah! Yeah, thats super interesting. Maybe hes embarrassed or doesn't wanna fuck anything up with Habitat so hes having her say hes not a part of it? No idea but weird to say the least.

His mom is coming back to the shop tonight to pick up the completes she had me make- ill keep everyone updated
