I will by flying out for it. Been there the past 5 years. Favorite event all year.

See you there.  I'll be posted up in the corner as usual.

I got to watch Dennis Busenitz’s winning run in person, so as far as I’m concerned I’ve peaked in terms of watching pro contests.

Nah, if I’m bored I’ll probably tune in. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My favorite run I've ever judged.  I have that shit memorized...he broke the scale that day.

I think I was there in 13, ishod's golden ticket run was the best shit I've ever seen pretty much. Also Gillette was very short in person and he ollied into the other side of the a frame from flat which I swear was his height...

I was trying to guess your identity. Paul Zitzer was a judge and sitting in the corner that year. Dumb guess on my part.

whoops!  I thought you meant the best run I had seen was Paul (PRod)...I got you now.  Zitzer always announces and I judged it from 2001 til 2014...now I just kick it in the corner and talk shit with my squad and enjoy the event.  It's actually nice going to a contest and NOT having to work every once in a while.

2011 was an epic year. Not only because of Busenitz's run, I got to yell at Nyjah in the parking lot when he denied a little kid an autograph. "I have to go inside cuz they're announcing finals". "Don't worry, Busenitz won it you little bitch!"

In the end, I hope that 10 year old grew up to realize Nyjah is a cunt anyway.

On another note, I'd love to get down to Tampa one year and see it all in person.

I wasn't trying to get his autograph. Ok, you're a PRO Skateboarder and you're not gonna take 30 seconds of your precious time to sign an autograph and stoke out a little kid on skateboarding? Fuck off. And besides it was Tampa; It's not like they're not gonna give you your prize money for showing up late.

Skateboarding has gotten so good that it has outgrown SPoT as a good contest site.

The obstacles are too small for today's pros and top am's.
SLS's course are better suited in scale.

And then there's Dime's single obstacle approach...

My favorite part of Tampa was always the boomerang bowl sesh in the back and now the concrete bowl mash...

Who's planning on watching? We shouldn't have to pay for the stream, right? Fuck off, if we do.

Didn't get to watch the Am's so I'm not sure who made it in.

Have we ever had to pay for the stream? Even when it was etn all you needed was a dummy email address.

Hopefully some random foreigner comes and takes 1st. Wish I could fly there for the party.

For me it feels like a different thing.  I personally like how the smaller obstacles open things up for more obscure tricks.  SLS feels a little too calculated...for instance if Timmy does a nollie flip over Skull Mountain to take over first place then Gerald will also do a nollie flip over Skull Mountain to retake first place.
