Leo Romero is the same age Heath was when he retired.
[close]

I read this and was shocked to find Leo was that old, then i looked into it and He's 32... now im shocked that Heath thought that 32/33 was a ripe old age for a pro and hung it up. that man is an enigma
I checked the internet with the intent of proving both of you wrong but you are both right! Heath retired around 2010. 😮 Can’t believe it’s been so long! It seemed like the right thing to do at the time, but now people like JB Gillet get a welcome video (at Primitive) at 40 and Guy got on Nike around 40. Times sure have changed.

You got to remember jb and guy didnt build their careers throwing themselves down huge sets and rails. Heath prob didnt see himself adapting to more low impact stuff on a pro level.

Big fan of this dude. Works full time, family man, and 40 years old (in this video part) still jumping down some pretty big stuff just for the fun of it.

Much respect

Would one say it is ironic that he is wearing a Highway Murderers shirt but is skating to African American gangster rap?

Kevin Taylor is 45, still skates like he did when Aesthetics was around.
Jeremy Klein is 47.

How big is the Berrics 10? I have no idea how this went down:

Yes. Pro skaters take note. I think Heath is the only intelligent pro skater to ever exist. He knew it wouldn't last forever, made the necessary investments early on to ensure a comfortable life after skating, and bowed out at the top of his game with dignity. Every pro should retire at 32. There's way too many pros anyways.
crazy. i thought he was at least like 36. his career was too short but then again he dipped out at the exact right time.  I still do think he had a lot more to offer still just my opinion.

Well that is a bummer. I hadn't seen this part before and I was pretty hyped for a second there.

It is amazing that so many pros have rolled into middle-age and are still pro. However, as great as this is for them, I feel this is bad for the industry and the scene as a whole.
