the people in the minivan clapping is my favorite part. Looks like he's been studying at the been Raybourn school. Not mad.

That really was not that good. Sure there were some decent tricks in there, but every video has some good trick in there. Not bad is not good enough today.

Maybe blame it on Adam Mills editing, but there were way to many not so gnarly appearing slams, park footage, the spinning-nose-pivot-on-the-edge thing lost it's impact by the 4th time it was used, and maybe I'm just not all that enthralled by the rolling onto a boardslide thing. That last blunt was great though.

And I've already seen enough of Reese Salken's face this week to last a lifetime.

I guess after my harsh view of Ed Duff and now this, I suppose I'm not a fan of the latest Birdhouse video.

Shoulda just put his wallie 180 fakie 5-0 down the hubba in someone else's part as a guest trick and called it a day. That nose twirl thing is garb.

Wow didn't expect so many people not to fux with this guy. He's one of my low-key favorite guys out right now. He did some real cool shit at Tampa pro this year, definitely unique. Last 2 tricks in this part were absolutely nuts!

Agree about the meh song, meh editing, too many slams and too many nose twirlies... but by no means at all did that make me dislike the part. All hail Hale! It would be cool if he could fully on New Balance and could get some more money in his pocket.

I think people are being harsh although I agree the filming was wonky in some clips.

I think his skating is fucking awesome, and the song worked ok.

Please don’t ever pay that filmer/editor again. Skating was cool but my god the fuck was that “song”.

Cut off the unnecessary slam footage and this would have been a great clip, ruined the flow imo.

Exactly how I felt.
There were some good clips in there but no where near enough to be stretched out to a 6 minute video part by using filler footage and waaaaaaay over doing the slow mo.
And yeah the spinning nose pivot thing was cool the first time. then they showed another one straight after. and then there were like 2 more in his part that werent anywhere near as impressive as the first so why bother with them.

Also that outfit for the JKwon clips. horrible haha

I liked it, but did there have to be so many bails?

A clean ride would have been so much better.

For sure. I liked this part, he's creative without going full Richie.

And sometimes the crustiness or gnarliness of a spot doesn't show on video for me, but anyone could tell that the last spot is disgusting, which made me appreciate his bluntslide a lot more.

Stoked that there was a line at my local skatepark at 2:50. They skated a demo there last summer. Jaws was on extasy and skated the vert bowl with a knee brace. When the demo was over they did keg stands in the deepend of the big bowl splashing beer everywhere. Pretty embarassing. I was not stoked when Shawn Hale waxed the already slippery coping to do a tailslide.
Since there have been so many discussions on skater's hights. He is about 6 feet tall, all the other dudes on Birdhouse are short fellas. Tony Hawk was not there.

The music and the editing was pretty annoying. He's got good style and some original tricks though. I would like to see another edit of the same part.

You have no idea what you're talking about, david loy is taller than hale, ed duff is like 6'4 maybe 6'5, tony hawk is 6'3.

I liked the drop down slides and the kickflip out of the qp to nosemanual.

Rest was gnarly, but meh. Too many twirly birds for my taste.

I just found Saturdays online, I think I like that part a little bit better but the switch back lip shove & last two tricks in this are still marinating in my mind in the best way possible. This new part is begging for a re-edit!
