SHE is the only post 2010 video part(s) I will rewatch.  Super amazing.

hey I remember that song from an old 411 Industry section! what was the brand again? I know Mike Manzoori was in there....

anyways that looked awesome! I gotta say I'm pretty jealous haha.....working as a snowboard instructor in Japan has to be a sweet gig. as a big anime/manga fan, I've been dreaming of visiting Japan for years....getting to a resort over there would probably be a bit difficult but I'd love to skate around in Tokyo. hopefully some time after the pandemic! My boys are grown now so traveling has become way easier.

Edit:
->Telly: those 2 were epic, in very different ways! can't believe they actually used "The Final countdown" hahaha.....

That area is usually moguls so I don’t often spin into there.

And Oldie,

Yeah, it’s pretty much the ideal job (unless you work for a Japanese ski school). I’ve been around a few places, and I’ve landed almost a straight job working for a friend just doing private lessons.

Japanese hills are different than anywhere else, both in good and bad ways. The hot springs however, are fantastic.

I’ve skated Tokyo a bit, and it’s fun. If you know where to go, there are little bowls and DIY projects scattered across the country.

^yeah just finished day 1 recap. So good.

Twin cities got a few inches of fluff, so I went up to the local hill Trollhaugen and had a blast on my flight attendant with the pow covered side hits.

Pretty good. Do you know Scott Stevens? He is a snowboarder/skateboarder from MA. He is the closest thing to a skateboard inspired skateboarder.

Also, check out urban snowboarding in Montreal.

That Scott Stevens video was really sick. Thanks for posting. All his tricks without being attached to his board were cool. I think I get what you mean in that he somehow moves like a skater while snowboarding - something about all those downhill cabs and quickfeets maybe?
My coworker showed me this video too (please ignore the intro skit and half the music):

One of the best recent snowboard videos in recent years. It’s so dense with amazing tricks I can’t watch it all the way through, I need to do it in chunks to take it in.

Other rad movies I can think of

And the other Drink Water movie, ENERGY

Agreed, I’m old (about to be 45) this video gets me hyped to ride on the days that my knees ache (which is most days). Chris Grenier’s part is pure mayhem and I love it!

Can't beat the old Robot Food films for stoke building. Afterlame is probably my favourite snowboard movie of all time. The soundtrack is also absolutely brilliant.

Afterlame is rad. Jake Price was the Bombhole guest last week and he talked a lot about that project and Robot Food in general. Pretty awesome to see him working with Tanner on the Vans stuff, and maybe even more rad is that we can count on a movie about Jamie Lynn coming up from Jake.

Natural Selection was incredible. So much fun to watch.

I was in Tahoe last weekend. I used my ikon to ride Squaw for the first time....definitely did not love it. It's the worst super resort I've been to.
Alpine Meadows was good though. we had a blast there, but drove home immediately after. We were going to ride Boreal on Sunday but...were old people. Old and tired.

Fortunately got to do two hours at Mammoth on the drive up. Mammoth is still the best to me. I get to go up next Friday for four days with a crew of friends and my son. Absolutely cannot wait.
ok thanks

Lame and afterlame are two of the best if not the best. I was gutted I lost my afterlame DVD as there’s a whole bunch of secret footage on there I only watched once and haven’t been able to find again (granted I haven’t looked too hard). I’ve still got the lame DVD that came in a tin case

I've still got the Afterlame DVD, i never saw the secret footage though, will have to check that out.

Vaguely remember the tin case Lame, think I sold that with a clutch of other snow dvds a few years back.

I think my biggest regret is selling December (airblaster), it came in this cool plywood "case" with a screen printed front cover...such a rad film too.

The way you youngsters are talking about the iconic lame/afterlame series is similar to the way us fossils worship the Whiskey catalog lol.

Haha nah man, I’m still old enough to have had the opportunity to enjoy boozy the clown and the rest of the whiskey series. Probably shouldn’t have been watching those at 13 years old but the parents never caught on. I’ve got whiskey 3 i think it is on vhs somewhere.

Yeah the secret footage was seen by pressing the play button I think it was in a section when they’re riding pipe. Can’t seem to track anything down online about it but I’m sure it’s there. I just flicked a message to Pierre who edited it to see if he could confirm

Went yesterday when it was below zero outside.  Was all good till the sun went down.

I'm going to have to go through these snowboard videos.  Rome - No correct way was the one I used to watch all the time when I was serious about snowboarding.

^^^Looks exactly what you would imagine Tom Penny to look like on a snowboard. Long hold with nice tweak and a nice wide stance. That was a pretty good size kicker too!
