Steve Celentani (Trouble Shooters, Tactical Manual) and Matt Sosa (Screw Skateboards, Washed Up Warriors) found out from Brian Ruhland that I have a quarter pipe in my parents garage.

We ended up becoming buddies for a long time, and the ramp is still at my folks’ place if anyone is interested in taking it off my hands. ;) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Used to skate with Walker Ryan's old roommate in college, ended up meeting him and I somehow have his number.

Also stumbled upon the Sk8mafia crew just post-sesh at a highschool in SD. Was offered a joint. Kremer was reaaally cool, chatted me up a bit.

Talked to Tommy Sandoval about his kids at a Red Bull Triple Set event, he's a sweetheart. Side story, security didn't recognize TJ Rogers as he was coming into the media section and tried to stop him. Poor TJ.

Last one. I've been to Riley Hawk's coffee shop in Oceanside multiple times and he was working there almost every time. Saw Figgy and Provost too once, who looked barely functional at 10am.

The whole birdhouse team was in town at Denver skatepark randomly one day.  I think this was during the time they were filming for whatever their last video was hahah.
Birdhouse team is whatever to me, but I crossed by Jason Hernandez while skating and said what up to him and that I really liked his filming and videos.  He was stoked and real nice about it.

Ran into Don Vito when I was young while flying home back to Denver.  He was standing waiting to get on the plane while I was getting off (think it was flying back to PA).  Said what up Vito and he mumbled some jibberish.  Pretty sure he was in Denver for court after his sexual assaults' charges at the old X Games indoor skatepark in Colorado.  He was not in a good mood.

Just a few I can remember off the top of my head to share.

Totally forgot about this until the other day.
I mailed Jamie tacowny kratom to try and he was supposed to send me some product in exchange for it but never did.
Don’t think he liked the kratom, which is chill anyway I’m not mad or salty about it since it was almost exactly 2 years ago from today.
Just a funny name drop

I skated with Phil Shao when I was like 13. He was trying a frontside flip over this little gap and couldn't make it, and being young and dumb, I figured I'd try the same trick. I made a *really shitty* frontside flip first try, and he gave me a look I'll never forget. I don't think I skated again for the rest of the day. First time, but not the last time, I would be kooked out

Ed Templeton sent me a some Sheep Shoes after we skated together at a strange one-man demo outside a baseball stadium. I don't know why, but I didn't wear them and ended up selling them on eBay in ~2010 for some pretty good money

A friend of one of my best friends was Dill's roommate, when Dill first moved to New York

I use to play in a cover band and we played an after party for the Boom Boom Huck Jam, and I was introduced to Tony Hawk during a break in our set. I asked him if he ever gayed off with the Bones Brigade, and he rolled his eyes and walked off

I talked Ed Devera out of starting a clothing company at the bar once

I got drunk with The Lutzka after some Monster contest once. He was cool as shit

I had the most emo night ever with Crazy Eddie after failing to hook up with a bartender I went home with that he lived with. We drank red wine while listening to Frank Sinatra and moped until the sun came up

I watched Tool play with Cab at Lollapalooza
in ‘94...he also stole the guitarist from my real band for his band Soda

Jai Tanju was featured in Slap skating a mini ramp while wearing one of my bands tee shirts, and he also took our promo pics

Jerry Hsu and I would have awkward eye contact when we’d see one another at the grocery store

I was introduced to Mofo by Ray Stevens and he grunted in my direction

That felt good. Thanks

Yeah, fuck Matt Newton! He’s a dog. Brooke Satchwell was too good for him anyway.

Fun night!

Clint Peterson was I guess security for this movie set and blocked me from entering a restaurant in Culver City they were filming at. All I kept thinking when I saw him was “fat woman in jeans at a disco party”.

Ran into Pat Duffy at an after party.  I’d never met him before but he seemed to know me.  Ended up at a random persons house later that did not skate.  We did cocaine while listening to Alice In Chains.

2019 World Series MVP Stephen Strasburg grew up on my street. We used to laugh at him for wearing a helmet & skating hideous Fury Trucks . He got the last laugh.

I smiled at Pat Burke after The Radio Silence premiere on the way to the bathroom.

I hope these are all on point for the thread. If not, oh well. They're still funny.

One time we were in Tampa and Elissa needed a ride back to Fort Myers. Before we left Tampa we stopped at 7-11 for drinks. She didn't have her ID so I bought her rolling papers so she could twist one up in the backseat.

Another time in Tampa we showed up for the Pro contest. My friend had a bunch of Philly people staying over and Kalis happened to be out with us partying on night. At some point Kalis picked up a rose when we were leaving Ybor. On the drive home he was rubbing the rose on this girl's ear. She looked back at him and he said, "That feels dope, right?" She was a Philly girl and a bit of a hard ass so she just ignored him. We've called him Dope Right ever since. Love you DGKALIS.

Underworld Element was doing a demo in my hometown and Montessi was there. He had a nose blunt sequence in a Thrasher and I told him I really liked it. He didn't know the sequence was in the mag and was pretty surprised. He said, "Thanks." and was obviously kind of uncomfortable. This tour was with a bunch of World guys and the same one when Jovantae punched Berra in the face. I'm pretty sure it happened the next day. Also, I was straight edge at the time and had painted an X on my hat. Jovantae said he liked my hat and asked if it was for Malcolm X. I should have lied and said yes because I knew all about Malcolm at the time, but I just told him the truth. He was really nice. Julien was there and fucking killed it.

Billy Rohan took me with him to a Zoo demo in Clearwater once. I skated off in the corner by myself trying a frontside noseslide on a weird bump to ledge. Some kid asked me for my autograph and I told him I'm nobody, not sponsored, and just here with Billy. Jeff Pang properly ignored me the whole time.

I used to see Nick Dompierre before he was an am at the skatepark in Fairhaven, MA doing huge backside 360 grabs over the spine wearing some nice black leather Ipath Grasshoppers. Probably in 2001. That park got an overhaul somewhat recently, and it used to totally suck. Now it looks like it might still suck, just in a different way, but still better.

In the mid-late 2000's I saw Brandon Westgate at the park in Mattapoisett, MA doing the bench to bench gap, which looked pretty cool in person. He does a lot of things that look impossible.

I went to the Gravity Games in 2001 and got Bob Burnquist to sign a magazine ad.
