Nah I don't remember Ted ever being on Seek. Mosaic came out smack in the middle of Seek and none of the Seek guys had a part in it. Ted had nearly a full part in the Alien section, and all the Alien guys had at least a little footage, even with AVE and Danny Way filming for the DC video at the time, but no one from Seek did.

Oh shit yall, remember Oyola's wacky board co from the 90's with the conspiracy theory theme? I think it was straight up called Illuminati even

Wasn’t silverstar attached?
I had an illuminati board with a big fat nose and it was great for two weeks until it delaminated.

Think it evolved into Silverstar which lasted slightly longer but still not that long - looking back on google right now and the art direction for both was fucking sick actually, not really anything you see in the skate world before or since too much.

I remember thinking Illuminati was done well, just didnt last....
hardly art, hardly starving

not to be contrarian but pretty sure Degros was on Seek, I remember him living in sf for a month with Alex Carolino, Bjorn, and Greg Meyers who were the other Seek dudes at the time. I'll admit I have no idea what it was on paper, but that was the crew.

The best of all the short life brands was the Deluxe-era Rase Libre.

Art Direction (Leon), product, theme, and small team were all perfect.

Too true. How much longer did they go on after DLX? Who distributed them after that?

Arto came through Calgary with Platinum Skateboards. I was blown away seeing him skate in person.

Brian Lotti's Telegraph skateboards, nice art direction etc from memory though

Damn I had forgotten about this. The graphics looked amazing, but the company seemed to vanish before the boards could even get distributed here.

Few years post-DLX, and I think they were self-distributed. Lived in SF for a lil bit during their post-DLX era, was hoping they'd make it :(

I'm sure tons of attempted homie brands lasted maybe one pressing of boards. Out of board brands that were backed by a major distro, Artifacts has to be the shortest. I think it lasted 2 seasons at most with the backing of Dwindle. 3D and Seek both lasted over a year.

This was back in the late 90’s and not too many people knew about the Free Masons, Illuminati, or secret societies. The concept wasn’t blown out the way it is now. They were pretty ahead of the times.

Oddly I have a Judah board still brand new but the graphic rubbed off a tad. Loved David Flores art at the time.

The shop I hung around when I was younger was always on top of stocking the smaller brands so this had me thinking back .
Anyone remember Forest? Fabrizio santos company around 2006?
Also going to add Hype! to the list. Had the hover board graphic when I was a freshman in Hs and was pretty stoked on it. Was hyped on the popwar vibe .
How long was I&I around? Haha
Edit: I just remembered Substance skateboards. I think they made it less than a year?
