Looking for a skate crew
« on: March 28, 2019, 05:52:22 AM »
Hey,

I suck at making friends for some reason. I have joined here to see if I can find some local people around my experience to skate with me.

I stopped skating for about 10 yrs. Just recently picking it back up so I am almost like a newbie. I prefer to skate transition but willing to skate almost anything.

Please hit me up if you are in Aurora, CO area and would like to skate with me. Like I said I am not very good but love to skate.

I would love to skate with you Cody but I live far away. Best of luck finding a crew and dont feel bad I have exactly zero friends and skate by myself. But if you fall in love with the process of skating no big deal. You probably don't suck at making friends it's just not the easiest thing to do despite popular belief. I'm sure you will meet some really great people on here, and you can make friends to talk about skating with. Enjoy this professional quality Photoshop.

I would if I was in Colorado! Check out the Travel Guide section, too. Might have some good luck there!

I'd join your crew as well if I lived out there, it sucks not having that stigma of being awkward. I have to deal with that quite abit. Best of luck though, If you can checkout Denver park or 303 boards yeah some dudes can be jerks but fuck em let your skills do the talking.

I had no crew from 86 till 88.  It was good skate times- cherish them.  I still kinda prefer skating with less people (or by myself) then with more people.

I'm continually amazed that people skate with other people, or do things with other people in general. I've been skating six years solo. Maybe I'm just an asshole.

Isn't it easier to slam in a crew?  If you slam by yourself youre a weirdo but if you slam with your crew around it provides context

I am extremely antisocial, but I also prefer skateboarding with a group of buddies. I wonder how much better I would be at skating if I ever got really into skating alone? I've never been a true skater, haha

i slam more by myself. if you're skating the same obstacle as your crew you get to rest in between tries, which helps. I find it harder to stay motivated by myself. even skating with one other person is preferable. also, if you really fuck yourself up, you don't have to crawl to your phone/nearest doctor, your buddy can help you out.

edit: i'd skate with you if i was in your area, but i'm on the other side of the pacific ocean.

Flying back on Wednesday. My knee is wrecked, but no way am I not skating my old locals. Staying in Ballpark/Five Points for 5 days. Go Os. We should hit up some tranny. Plenty of paths around the front range, that's for sure.

I totally feel you on that. I moved away from my hometown and it was impossible to meet new skaters that didn’t already have a group. And try and get into someone’s click. Shit sucks

This is like the start of a De Niro movie. "I'm putting together a crew."

Is it one of them movies that's got a real slow start?
