NOFX are kind of an easy band to make fun of, but this was really cool.

Hands down my best live show was MF Doom.
It was at a tiny venue, had a real Rock the Bells vibe (he was an hour late and people are saying dude wasn't even in the country). Comes on, no talking and blasts out an insane set, so much energy.
Literally finishes the last song and bails, you could see the DJ about to cue something up and Doom just reaches across and shakes his head and walks off.

I was hoping to meet him and get something signed but I later heard he was pretty much in a cab out of there the second the house lights came up.

I was never a huge Lady Gaga fan or anything, but have always been very moved by this performance.  No tricks or gimmicks, just raw energy, emotion and vocal power.  Sends shockwaves through my torso every time.  Simply Divine.  Bless her for this and bless those children:

Saw them in 2010 (I think?), during the set they said they wouldn't play The Decline because they were too tired from playing it the night before at the previous date. So later I looked up bootleg recordings of that former show and indeed, they did play that song... For 30 seconds before giving up and switching to a different song because The Decline was 'too hard'. Then on the night after the one I went to, they played it in full. Motherfuckers!

Saw NOFX in Toronto the first time they played The Decline (so they said)

It was really good but obviously exhausted the band the rest of the show was pretty low energy but they pulled the Decline off note for note in it's entirety. I was super impressed.

Also Nubs was there from the song She's Nubs I was super surprised to see her but I guess I should have been expecting her to be there.

I was hoping to meet him and get something signed but I later heard he was pretty much in a cab out of there the second the house lights came up.

Essentially had the exact same experience when I saw him back in 2013. It was the in the old The Forum in Kentish Town.

Big Benn Klingon came on hyping the crowd up, when these hipster type kids in front of us who already were doing my head in talking loudly, kept saying ''THAT ISN'T MF DOOM?! HE IS AN IMPOSTER!'' Then, DOOM came on and killed it. I don't remember if it was actually exactly the same as your gig, snce I don't remember an encore or anything..

He seemed hyped to be there, though. He really did have the stage presence with a red mask on and even did a little shuffle in one of his songs. It was a sick lineup as well; Bishop Nehru as the first act and then Badbadnotgood just before DOOM. I do have some really bad short mobile phone footy from it.

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/mf-doom/2013/the-forum-london-england-53c4fb91.html - setlist if anyone is interested.

Since I bring up DOOM I just remembered a cool story my mate told me. So, Paul Carter has a photo with a DOOM outside a gig in a van and apparently the story was they were skating past, when DOOM called them over. Apparently he was asking about skating because his son skated at the time. and of course, he got a photo with DOOM.

Clutch live in Guild Hall, Southampton. December '19.

My mate's first time seeing them and my 11th time I believe. Got wasted and rolled my ankle really bad in the pit.

However it was a dope gig as per norm for them.

I vaguely recall an interview with Fat Mike where he said he'd only play it once per city, but I think he was exaggerating. Either way I would love to see this live, with the orchestra or not.

I wasn't there, but last time they played Riot Fest they did all of Punk In Drublic for their set, and at the end they were like "well, guess we only have time for one more song" and they kicked into The Decline.

PUP played at my company's holiday party in 2018. Might have been because the crowd was only ~200 people but it was one of the best shows I've ever been to.

I didn't feel like starting a new thread for this, but tomorrow on Facebook they're gonna livestream the 2020 Joey Ramone birthday bash show for free. I might check it out, as being a younger Ramones fan who never got to see them live this might be the closest thing to it. Just figured I'd share it here.

The best version of this song by far.

Once I was alone I just laid on the futon listening to Leonard Cohen and thinking about the other girl I liked and missed.
