  Nobody did that tho.  Did they?  Its not that we are entitled but its that some people ARE entitled to know and they do know  but theyre withholding the info even tho it was jakes life not theirs. And I think you’re overestimating the corporate impact his cause of death being released would have. Wall Street isn’t going to go into a tailspin because Jake OD’ed. Thrasher isn’t losing Nike ads over it.

Yeah I guess deserve to know can sound a little harsh, but I wasn't trying to say it in a way were I feel like we should make a big deal about it and demand anything. More so I just was thinking why there isn't any info about his passing, he's just such a figure in skateboarding and to have zero information about what happened just raises bigger questions really.

If it was a drug issue like some people speculate I could see why his Family/Thrasher doesn't want to put it out there to garnish his name. But if that is what happened I don't think a lot of people would really be surprised by it and look at him that much differently. And as others mentioned it could be a good way to get a message out there to kids in skating about drug use.

3 or 4 people told me he was here. I have always admired jake. My father called him “the king punk fuck in the dress with a skateboard” or some such shit. I thought that was awesome.

I likely didn’t have the car. On the weekends it’s a 3 hr tour to get to town. The train leaves like every 4 hrs. If I did have the car I just sat and pondering should I bother?

Of corse I should have bothered but I’m a fucking lump of crusty shit who’s mostly just skates alone at night.

My friends don’t expect to see me anymore my crew knows I’m likely not going to the show my family knows I’m not coming to band practice. I haven’t even seen my brother or wrote him in like 7 years he’s been falsely imprisoned.

When I do show up it’s a miracle and we should just enjoy that moment and not expect it to be repeated or regular.

I only skate and babysit and clean the house rn. That’s all I can handle
