My wife is a psychotherapist, she spent 3 years interning at an lgbtqiap+ practice. Be sure to find a good therapist. No matter how supportive you friends and family say they are or try to be they will slip up on pronouns and dead names and you will get in your feels about it. Have a professional to talk to. It will help. As an intern most of her client base was “pay what you can” so it can be affordable. If you’re on the Philly area I can send you info about that practice.

My trans sister came out 3-4 years later, and it was articles and stories like Hillary's which helped me understand how my sister felt and what she had been/was going through.
