I’ve skated 4 decks now of the Nicole 8.0 twin nose with 13.5 wheelbase and it’s the best board I’ve ever had . I really hope they continue making this shape for years to come because it’s honestly the most perfect board for the way I skate .

I wanted to try the 8.25/14.15 Nicole but seeing it in person the super square and lengthier kicks made me not want to gamble on it

the 8.00 vs the 8.25 are super different looking and feeling. 8.00 is better suited for the shape, you'd have to take a look in person to see for your self.

Are the kicks super steep?

It might work due to the long kicks (like Abe's Zero board).

Measures true (suprisingly for a BBS these days).

Thanks for tracking a hi res. And measurements correct?? Damn ok. I remain curious. Wonder how it would skate compared to the G069 but I'm still leaning toward not rolling those dice.

I rolled'em.

I've only skated the G069 (with forged vents), really liked the kick shape (not a tail, not a nose).

Since trying the bricks that were the Hause twins (too beastly), I switched over to a B16 with indys so I'm used to the length and a slightly tucked WB.

The Abe board with it's 13.x WB skated totally fine with slappy trucks (shorter than vents WB) due to it's long ass nose and tail, the 'footbed' was fine to where the WB didn't even come into play as far as feel went.

Even tho it's BBS, it still feels like the previous crail boards from china as far as finish goes.

Looks great! Can you tell the difference from 8.25 to the 8.3?

On every G069 I've had it's been Indy 144 forged hollows, cept that one time I set up Lurpiv Hollows. But my next G069 will have the 5.6 V Light or V Hollow, I haven't/can't decide but am stoked to set it up.

Funny sidenote: I emailed Tactics because I saw the BBS/Made in Mexico sticker on every Crail twin they have. Wanted to confirm the Chocolate Perez Team Chunk 8.25 was BBS and not Dailan Huahong. And to see if Crail fully switched their lineup to BBS now. Their response: "Thanks for reaching out, as far as I know they're still using Dailin. None of the Chocolate or Girl boards in our shop have BBS stamps on them."

And they have the new G011 in stock so I'm like, huh. ???

I honestly have no clue it was the first time I'd seen them. Guessing on par with other shop deck twins?

True 8.3s (this and the Ishod) are not distinguishable to me from an 8.25" when skating;  I will say that this is a bit fuller after the trucks holes/before the kicks/taper. Compared to the 8.375 Quasi I have it's wider, the quasi is 8.25 vs the advertised 8.375 (go BBS). The 8.375 Habitat is def wider (and the 8.25 skinnier) but both are waaaay too long for me.

Went Forged/V-Hollows (Kai's truck) for the snap and WB extension; been running cast 5.8s on a setup and found a good bushing combo with the Slappy lows, been using it as a slappy/flatground board and they turn/slappy just fine contrary to people would have you believe and slappy crooks punch great, especially fronts.

It's got the black and white BBS sticker and says Made in Mexio plan as day (not front truck dot tho, just the girl lazer text). Guess the Tariffs caught up with them?

Man Crail cornering the twin market lately. Lots of new ones in 8-8.5.

@Xen, how's your G011 going? If you've been on the G069, any differences that you notice?

I’m currently skating one. not the twin shape, but the standard 8.0” “moose” blank they sell on their site. I bought it as a board to fuck around on in between waiting for my other board to come in the mail. it’s a $35 deck with $35 quality. I’ve been skating it a solid month, and it’s beat to shit. started chipping on me after 2 weeks. new board comes Tuesday though thank god.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

Just dug around and discovered those Moose decks are Control wood. Mixed reviews in the blanks thread over the years

303 Boards with another round of twins 8.25 and 8.5. Can vouch these are legit, rode one in 2023. Assuming they still source from BBS. That one (the Orbs graphic) was similar to the Ishod shape but not as full as the Welcome with 14 1/8 wheelbase and 6.625 kick lengths. Measurements are always varying so best to ask them direct.

8.25: https://www.303boards.com/products/303-boards-twin-gradient-blue-deck-8-25?_pos=7&_sid=36f637954&_ss=r

This is great news. 303 is just an hour away.
I just set up a Control 8.5 Twin from ClubDist. Snowed yesterday so have not skated it, but I can already tell the 8.3 would have been better.  Nose/Tail are super full

Hope to report more soon

April/Guy

https://aprilskateboards.com/products/guy-mariano-cheetah-twin?variant=49848772952347

TWIN - SYMMETRICAL SHAPE

31.93" x 8.25"
Nose - 6.84"
Tail - 6.84"
WB - 14"

Finally the kick shape I've been looking for on a twin...now to figure out how to make that short WB work...guess it's venture time (but maybe slappy lows + some 50mmm lil'smokies) - it has long kicks like the regular primitive 8.25 (same shape as it is) so any truck might work.

Did you end up liking this one? Is it mellower in concave?

Toy Machine 9" Twin

Cross post from set up thread. Really enjoying a bigger twin tail, though I wish they offered it in 8.75, they jump from 8.5 to 9

Krooked will have something for you by summer, if you’re cool with a slightly larger wheelbase and length compared to the 9” TM.

Attached is the size info for the Control MFG Twin Nose, I really like the board, the pop feels really good to me
The nose/tail is really "full" wish I would have sized down to the 8.25, pretty sure it would have skater "wider"

New 8.25 and 8.5 twins from Cowtown: https://www.cowtownskateboards.com/skateboarding/decks/standard/cowtown/triclops-twin-tail-deck-825-pid-77475

https://www.cowtownskateboards.com/skateboarding/decks/standard/cowtown/triclops-twin-tail-deck-85-pid-77476

I inquired for specs and here's response I got:

"Those decks are made by HLC Skateboard Factory, they are 100% maple. The width is true on both sizes. The concave is low and the nose and tail are pretty mellow and not pointy. The wheelbase is 14” on both sizes. Hope this helps.
Thanks
Dave"

Just set mine up and it looks like two shovel noses but also seems good underfoot, going to give it a test Sunday i think. Curious how the long kicks will affect things

Quick shoplurker search turns up this:

Remember seeing this recently but it's a 9.0:

Might be some twin blanks out there in 8.75

there was a blank listed 8.75 previously in here a while back but it was a football. Probably from the same manufacturer your first link got theirs from too.

I'm still waiting for a 8.75 twin nose with a 14.25 wb myself.

Unless someone has a local that does shop decks, there isn’t one at the moment. Toy Machine does a 9”, and there’s obviously a decent amount of 8.5”. If no one has a local with 8.75” twins, you will have to wait until the first summer drop for DLX.

Alternatively, if you can’t wait, people have posted deals in the sale gear thread for woodshops that sell DTC. I think there was one that has 8.75 TT, but you’d have to dig a little to find that.

Here it is:
https://charmcity.tv/custom-decks

Shape #4 is what you want, which comes in twin tail or twin nose.

There is a Bobby Worrest 8.75" twin coming this summer that looks pretty damn nice, if you can hold out....
